I wish I could give this place 6 stars!! All aspects of this trip were perfect, seriously!! We rented this farmhouse in Boulder because it had a giant kitchen and we wanted to host Thanksgiving for my family, 14 total people (3...that's three ovens!! ). At one point on thanksgiving everyone was in the kitchen- but there was still room somehow!
Favorite things: owners were responsive, helpful, very attentive. They allowed my brother to bring his 4 mo old puppy for the day. Also the kitchen was a chef's kitchen, fully stocked with serving dishes, place settings for 14, plenty of space to cook. Also there were a ton of animal interactions we were able to have, from meeting the actual Naughty Goats that the farm is named after, to meeting local cats, chickens, ducks, seeing the sheep and alpaca and neighboring woolly cows from afar, etc. That was unique and very special.
It's located right near the termination of the boulder bike path, so we went for a nice long walk on a paved path after Thanksgiving. Sunrises were memorable, many pictures were taken.
interior-wise, it's decorated in a french farmhouse style, with many antique-looking items and lots of wood and cosy corners to curl up and read a book. There's a working fireplace that was ALL SET UP for us! There was plenty of room with 4 bedrooms in case someone needed to sleepover, all bedrooms were furnished nicely, had new mattresses and snuggly blankets.
8 stars - seriously- we are ready to move in, but if we can't we are definitely planning on being back next year if we can get in. They also had a sweet porch, this place would be awesome in the summertime! Did I mention we got a dozen FRESH eggs from the sweet hens ? Such a great trip, such good memories, what a lovely place. Thank you!!
