"Fabulous 3 bed gite with a large pool, air con, fast wifi, outdoor games and UK tv channels. Great for families. Handily placed - 30mins to Royan, 40 mins to Cognac, 50 mins to Bordeaux. Catherine, the hostess, couldn't do more for us. We had a great time (despite the weather) and would heartily recommend this idyllic, quiet get-away."

Beautiful Romanesque churches and also Gallo/ Roman remains. The property is comfortable and the hosts Howard and Liz are thoughtful and knowledgeable. There is a great butcher in the village too."

After cognac tasting, going to the local farmers market, kayak races and wandering the lovely village of Jarnac we always looked forward to returning to our gite. The pool is gorgeous, we did a bit of barbecue and to sit in the garden and listen to the birds was such a beautiful way to have a morning coffee or cup of tea. My only...
