"Lovely rural France, nestled in amongst fields of sunflowers, sweet corn and with some charming little villages close at hand, Las Bruges was just what we expected, rural, rustic charm in a perfect location. The property itself is more than adequate, plenty of space, lovely pool area and stunning views across the beautiful rolling countryside; everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing stay… Hugo (who looks after the property for the owner) was on hand for anything we needed and was also very knowledgeable about the local area (restaurants, amenities etc.) and called by 3 or 4 times during our stay! "We loved staying on the farm. The house was large and spotless, hosts incredibly helpful. Our 3 and 5 year olds boys loved it too! The only thing to note for other guests (that is very usual in France) is that you need to bring your own bedding, this isn’t explicitly called out on the listing. Would definitely stay again! "

"The house was idealy situated for visiting many places of interest,Bordeaux,Bergerac and many chateau in the area. We were very disapointed with the standard of the property due to several issues.The house is very cold and damp and in some rooms has effected the wooden flooring,leaving a white deposit.Even in the kitchen, which has tiled flooring,surface water could be seen under our dogs bedding.The on-suite shower room wasn't very clean and had black mould around the shower tray and sink,which we had to clean ouselves.Although we had the use of an above ground swimming pool in the garden,it quickly became unusable as the grass,which was mostly weeds,became too long and unpleasant to wade through to get to the pool. Although I expect not everything to be perfect with an older property,I do feel the owners could pay more attention to these basic details.We were there for a month so these these things had considerable impact on our stay.We felt the owners put very little into running there gite and do the bare minimum."
