"Breakfast was the highlight each day, great choices. Dorms were okay, but did smell like they were cleaned with dirty water some days. The atmosphere was a bit strange, this is not your usual hostel, it is also a family’s home. Their children would be screaming and shouting and watchingTV in the common area really very loud. "Staff were amazing! Helpful and friendly. Can arrange airport transfer for you. They all spoke English very well. There is a common area downstairs with a bar and free filtered water and lots of plugs to charge your electronics. The bunk beds were a little scary, very unstable. You only get two sheets and a pillow case so if you get a free blanket on your airline keep it! There is one plug in each bed spot. Rooms are air conditioned. It was a little expensive for a shared room with bunk beds but...

"Poor experience given the price paid which was $30 per night for a dormitory. The breakfast buffet is minimal and dissolved quickly by people who literally thrust it into their bags without any oversight, and from thereon it isn't replenished correctly for all the other guests.The guy responsible for making the breakfast was super rude too. The entire place isn't effectively cleaned either which is sadly the reason why I have to give 1 star. Even with the few negatives expressed, I was itching...

"All things considered, this is a really good hostel. I mean, first of all it's really cheap. You can easily get a bed for 6 quids. Sure you have to pay for other things like towels or padlocks but they are also really cheap. Drinks are pretty good also. I was surprised that I had AC on the room, most hostels in Brazil don't have them. And this is very important because it's really hot in Rio. You wouldn't believe how hot it gets, even at night. And most important: wifi works. As in really works...

"Lennon and the rest of the staff were great. The hostel is in Leme, close to Copocabana, but has some limited transportation. The hostel itself was well maintained, and the other guests were enjoyable to spend time with. Overall I recommend this Hostel"

"The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was decent but at night we saw large roaches/waterbugs in the eating area due to the windows being open. Did not see them during the day nor while eating. The rooms did not have wifi although staff said it did. Room was very tight, cable continuously interrupted and we had to unplug box and take out card multiple times to watch tv, most stations in Portuguese and room was not very clean. Towels and sheets had stains after being washed...

"Originally booked 1 night and ended up staying for 3. Really wonderful hostel in a beautiful building. Rooms are clean and comfortable and everything works well. The location is fine, if not ideal--lots of grocery stores nearby though not restaurants, 13-min walk from the metro, and centrally located between Copa and north Rio--which I think helps keep the price great. The common areas are quite nice, if not particularly social. Thanks for a great stay."

"I had arranged for the hotel to pick me up at the airport due to a midnight arrival. A man holding a sign with my name was waiting at the arrival gate. I had no Brazilian currency so I asked if a credit card would be accepted. He said the hotel would pay him and I could pay them with my card. The hotel paid the taxi but could not reach the manager re credit card. So they said I should pay the next day. I slept through breakfast and was pleasantly surprised when everything was brought out again...

"I rate this property as average because in all honesty, it's not shown as it really looks in real life, you'll be staying at the oldest building in the area, even though you're in the best area for beaches and restaurants, consider that you'll get what you're paying for. We had a misunderstanding with the check in so i recommend having your schedule well planned out. The kitchen didn't have enough tools for cooking and for a family of five, the pots and the frying pan were too small. Consider...

Relax and enjoy the view.

"The hotel is classically beautiful with its spacious rooms, colourfully and tastefully decorated. I'm not surprised many celebrities have stayed there! The bed is super comfortable and the blackout blinds left all the day light outside so we could have a nice lie in the next morning. The hotel is super clean and tidy. They offer you a glass of champagne upon arrival making you feel very welcomed. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they go an extra mile to ensure you're satisfied. The pool area is just gorgeous with the colourful parasols contrasting with the pure white of the building around it! Very romantic. The location is wonderful, you just have to cross the road to be at the iconic Copacabana beach. It was throughout a fantastic experience and we'd love to be back again soon. "

"Chose this hotel for the area and view over the harbour and sugar loaf mountain. Hotel itself is next to the domestic airport so ideal for travellers which made it quite a busy hotel. It has plenty of amenities onsite and close by. There is a rooftop pool and restaurant (with views to die for), a gym and nearby shops and alternate eateries. The rooms are modern and comfortable with a fully stocked fridge and plenty of space for luggage. The staff are friendly and helpful despite being busy. The breakfast was amazing with a huge choice to suit all. Some parakeets came to visit in the morning too which were lovely to see as well as a few other birds but didn’t cause any problems. Would highly recommend both for convenience to the airport and area"
