"We were a group of 6 friends visiting the Lake District. This was an amazing property. It was as described. Super neat and clean. The owners were also fabulous and responded to all our questions and were super helpful with places to eat in the area. "We were looking for a quiet and relaxing couple of days and the Shepherds hut gave us just that. It was small and very cozy. It was warm on arrival which was very welcoming. If i were to give some feedback i would say that a couple of side lamps would be helpful. Overall an excellent stay."

"We stayed for two nights in the pig pod. It was extremely comfortable and cosy. Children loved the built in bunk beds. Great location with wonderful views and quick access to the heart of the lakes. Enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. Wonderful stay and will visit again."

"What a fabulous lodge! Only booked it the day before - excellent price for 3 days. Janet was a fantastic host, the lodge lived up to the description on the website. Spacious but cosy, very well equipped lodge, amazing views, lovely outdoor seating area."

"Lodge is set in a great location on the park with great views from the outside decking. The sofa in the lodge could do with replacing as there is a smell coming from it. The listing advised a smart TV in the lodge but this was a freeview TV so no netflix , Amazon TV etc. Overall we had a great stay and would return but would be nice to have a upto date TV & new sofa."

"This place is not about the cleanliness or hygiene, it about getting back into the natural world, seeing Mother Nature at her best, taking advantage of the lovely wilderness. It was so peaceful and tranquil, the sound of the stream next to us was amazing! Would definitely recommend! Currently looking for my own hut I’ve lived it so much!"
