Work & Play in our High Country Hideaway

You will absolutely love this warm, modern home in the woods. You will enjoy the home office, lightning fast internet and extensive TV choices, while relaxing at home. It is perfect for a family vacation to the mountains and convenient for business travelers. It is close to Appalachian State University, multiple parks, hiking, Rocky Knob for mountain biking, etc.

The upper level condo offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first level bedroom has a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top. There is a walk in shower and laundry facilities in the first level bathroom as well.

The loft bedroom has a stylish queen-sized bed and large walk in closets. There is an in-suite bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There is a modern desk and comfortable work chair with LG 24” monitor for your home office needs.

The kitchen has all the modern conveniences. It is set up with all that you will need for your stay, including basic hot breakfast items, a Keurig coffeemaker, as well as tea, sugar, and a wide array of spices.

The living room has a large flat screen TV with a Firestick and Alexa. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu with Live TV are available. The internet is very fast, 200 MBps.

The driveway is moderately steep. In the winter a four wheel drive vehicle would be ideal. Parking is allowed at the end of the street when the weather is icy/snowy.

*Note: on top of our usual thorough cleaning in between every group of guests, we are now disinfecting all frequently touched things such as light switches, door knobs, etc. We always wash all laundry between guests, clean all bathrooms with disinfectants, wipe down all kitchen areas with disinfectants, and vacuum and mop all floors. We strive to provide a clean and safe environment for all our guests. If you have any questions about our cleaning practices, feel free to reach out.

There are tenants in the condo below. Please be aware that noise after 11pm needs to be kept at a minimum.
No parties or large gatherings of any kind are allowed. This condo is in a family neighborhood and parties are not possible. There is one camera on the deck overlooking the driveway.

Wonderful Stay
We had a lovely stay at this property. We were in town for our daughter’s December graduation from App State. The property was the perfect location and large enough for our family to be comfortable. We liked being able to eat our meals at the home and found the kitchen to be well equipped. We wish we had found this gem our daughter’s freshman year! We would have stayed often throughout her time at App State!!

Exploring Boone
We came to Boone to explore the university campus and attend the Saturday football game. The rental was perfect for our trip and found everything as expected. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay again when we are back in Boone.

Spacious and excellent location
Kitchen was well stocked. Nice having so much space in addition to roomy bedrooms and baths. Only downside was parking. With the extra room, we hoped to have family visit but we couldn't fit more than one car (glad our oldest didn't drive separately from college) and with two cars at the lower unit it was a little difficult to get out of the steep driveway. Not ideal but not a deal breaker! Had a great weekend that the owner helped us reschedule after Hurricane Helene affected our original trip. Very grateful for that!

This place was great. The location in the woods feels as though you're ever from civilization, but you're really just around the corner. Beautiful house, comfy and cozy. Will definitely be returning here when returning to the area!

Great hideaway - convenient to Mountaineer Village
We booked to move our daughter into Mountaineer Village. It was very close to her new place. Well stocked kitchen for cooking needs, enough room for all of us, and great views of nature. We will book again!

Very Nice Condo
The owner was very responsive to my emails and texts. Slight issue with the keypad but owner was available by text to solve the problem. The kitchen was well stocked and the condo was very clean and nicely furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed the front porch. There is no air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom, and that would have been a deal-breaker for us if we had known. This fact should be noted in the description because it was very warm upstairs. Thankfully there were only two of us, and we used the downstairs bedroom. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again...in cooler weather.

Close to Boone - comfortable stay!
The property location is fabulous! A little outside of Boone, so it is quiet and secluded. A very easy drive into town. We were visiting our son at App State and the trip to campus was about 9 minutes. The house is big enough for a family of 4 or 5 to stay comfortably. Great amenities in the kitchen and the property is well kept. Top of the driveway is a bit steep, but workable. Will definitely stay again next time we're in Boone!

This stay was incredible. My friends and I were coming from Florida driving through the night and the host was very accommodating and let us check in early. The space was larger than expected and was more than enough space for the 5 of us. The two bathrooms was very helpful as we came for a ski trip and needed to be quick with the showers. App ski mountain was only a 15 minute drive and everything else central in Boone was less than 10 minutes away. A great coffee shop and climbing gym is only a 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive. The place was fully equipped for any needs we had, especially the kitchen was in great condition and even had a large Brita filter. We would absolutely come back.

amazing vacation rental
We absolutely loved the property. If I could give it double the stars for cleanliness, I would. Place was immaculate -- i walked on the carpet with white socks on and my socks remained white! Kitchen is well stocked, fridge is also super clean. Light switches are labeled, which I thought was very neat. The house is situated in a residential area on a mountain and gives you the feeling that you are in a remote location, yet its within 10 min drive to Walmart and Food Lion in either direction. The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. To summarize, everything in the house was convenient, which allowed us to pay attention to our leisure time. I would definitely stay here again.

Great fall family vacation
The place was a little hard to find in the dark, but other than that it was a FANTASTIC weekend in the mountains!!! Brilliant fall foliage right outside the windows - and a clean, comfortable, totally functional space for the five of us (we just brought a sleeping bag for our sofa sleeper). The upstairs master bedroom suite was spacious and beautifully appointed. Downstairs owners were so nice and accommodating - we will definitely stay here again!!! Five stars /full marks / A+!!!

We had a great stay here. We cooked a lot at the house and the kitchen amenities were great for that. We had little ones with us and it was a good fit for them - not a lot for them to get into trouble with and a good front porch for them to play on. This property was fantastic, we did a short term stay for work and they had all the amenities for living we could need. Extra sheets, towels, a fully stocked kitchen! The property is quiet, near the end of a street, but only 6 minutes from down town! The property manager is quick to respond with any type of need. It was an absolute dream to stay here and was perfect for our needs.
