"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Genovese. Parking was simple and straight forward. The view from our room and balcony was simply unreal. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed dinner from the hotel restaurant twice and both meals were excellent. "Cavallo is an idyllic and beautiful island. Unfortunately the hotel is no longer run in a first class way and I could not in good conscience recommend staying here (especially at these prices). For example, there is a ferry that takes you to the island. We called the hotel bc we were 3 mins late (after a 17 hour flight from California that wasn't so bad). The hotel assured us they would contact the ferry and make sure they would wait those three minutes. The ferry said no one ever contacted...

"Excellent base for exploring Bonifacio and surrounding magical beaches. Cannot speak highly enough of the manager/owner who was very helpful and friendly. If I was going to suggest ways to improve i would say the apartment needs a more substantial bin and a small fridge in every room would be great (we did only pay for an economy room though). "Superbly clean, friendly staff, stunning infinity pool, so QUIET! It was so peaceful. Bring your own groceries for snacks, as there are few eating options nearby particularly in low season.
