Next to the apartment is "Independence Street" under the famous arcades of Bologna, where you can shop, sightsee local market during weekends, taste local cuisine; The apartment has two 'gateways': "the towers", "2 towers" 'Basilica of S. Petronio' (the fifth largest church in the world and the last big Gothic church built in Italy) on the other one.

THE GATEWAY is very convenient to visit the city.

as the famous "Mercato di Mezzo", a market town of medieval origins.

Supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias, local markets and attractions are really close to home.

Relaxing home away from home.

Very spacious for the three if us, easy walk from the train station and to the historic center. Friendly check-in process, nice kitchen, and small but usable laundry facilities. Perfect for us.

Clean comfortable apartment

Very convenient location close to train station, but the surrounding area is a little sketchy. The is safe and very well appointed. Family very friendly. Restaurants close, more options about 10 to 15 minute walk away.

Great Location, Spacious

Apartment was located in a perfect spot for easy access to train station, since we used it a lot to get to some small towns around Bologna, as well as, travel to Florence and Venice.The area seemed pretty safe, so was never concerned.The apartment was really nice. We had plenty of room for our 2 boys plus ourselves. Having 2 bathrooms was great. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely would stay again.

Perfect Place for Traveling

We chose this location and place based on the 5 start reviews and they were right. The apartment is beautiful and clean. Antonio's parents greet you at the arrival and explain how the place works. Antonio is responsive to text messages. The location is 5 minutes from the train station and convenient to do days trips. You can find everything nearby including restaurants, grocery store, historical buildings. Would stay there again.

The Gateway

Anthony’s’ lovely parents greeted us upon our arrival. The apartment was just as listed, close to the train station where we traveled to Parma and Modern on separate trips. Restaurants, cafes, walks under the porticos, the flavors of local street foods and evening music in the nearby square were delightful. This apartment had all the amenities to make our stay great!

Felt like home

We received a warm welcome on arrival and loved the apartment. Great to come back to a large relaxing apartment after a day of walking around Bologna. Very close to the main train station and an easy walk into the centre of Bologna.

Perfect place to stay in Bologna

Excellent vacation rental

We stayed two weeks in this apartment. It is convenient both to the historic district of Bologna and the train station. We took five day trips and were easily able to catch early morning trains with just a brief walk. The apartment is modern and everything—washer, dryer, dish washer—works! Antonio is a great host and answers any communication very quickly. We highly recommend this apartment!

Best Apartment of our trip!

This apartment is wonderful! The owners met us and gave us a personal tour of the apartment, appliances and access. Everything is new and in excellent condition. The kitchen is beautiful and complete for cooking.The neighborhood is very near the train station for day trips, etc. Loved Ristorante Il Veliaro! Definitely stay here❤️

Beautiful Bologna

We were very happy with our stay in this apartment. Antonio was very prompt with his communications. The apartment was very clean and well situated near nice restaurants and the station was nearby. We did day trips to Ravenna and Florence very easily. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 2 month holiday.Apartment was very large and clean with plenty of space and everything you need. Fantastic flat

This is a great flat with a lot of amenities. Antonio and his parents are great hosts. The flat is near supermarkets and also quite close to the city center and the central station. The 2 bedrooms has it's own bathroom, wich is great. The little balcony is a lovely place to eat breakfast at. This place is highly recommended!

Weekend in Bologna before Tuscany

Very nice sixth floor apartment close to the train station. Very safe and secure building, just a little difficult to find the entrance on the first day. Nice kitchen, bathrooms and laundry facilities. Coop grocery is only a block away. The historic district is within an easy walk. Very nice host family. Would highly recommend, was a good value.

Lovely building. Large apt. All amenities there to make for a comfortable stay. Quick 5 min walk to the train station. 10 min walk to Piazza Maggiore. Lovely cafes near apt, especially Nuevo Cafe. Great stay at Gateway Apartment

Antonio and his wife met us at their well-equipped apartment, showed us where everything was and how it all worked. They are very accommodating hosts who left coffee, tea, snacks and breakfast food for our five day stay in Bologna. The location near the train station meant no car was needed and we toured the surrounding area as well as a day trip to Venice by train. Would highly recommend!
