We welcome you in a house of character, renovated with benefits of charm and comfort. It is accessed after a small dirt road of 1300m ...

Located in the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc, 700m above sea level, in a wooded environment, Belsoleil is a unique place, isolated from the world, where you will appreciate the calm and the silence, where you will be able to find your personal rhythm and rest body and spirit.
During the day, you will admire the Canigou massif in the background while at night, the absence of light pollution will allow you to rediscover the existence of stars.

Accessible on foot from the house, vast plateaus of altitude offer an exceptional panorama, from Sète to the central Pyrenees.
While enjoying a large network of marked trails, ideal for hiking or mountain biking, you can meet many animals and birds remarkable because here the natural environment is really preserved.

Many visits can be organized for the half-day or the day. When it is very hot, we head to the Plateau des Lacs (Somail and Espinouse) and when it is cooler, we visit the scrubland, the wine plain and the coastline (Minervois, Cabardès or Narbonnais).
Several possibilities exist to make sporting routes mtb but also to pedal quietly with family on the green way "passa païs" which borrows the circuit of the old railroad of Mazamet in Bédarieux. Bicycles can be rented at Saint Pons de Thomières.

The Minervois offers a great variety of beautiful landscapes but also a rich cultural and architectural heritage to discover.

You will not miss visiting the Cathar sites of Minerve (future Grand Site of France) and Lastours, the city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, both listed as World Heritage by Unesco and the wonderful abbeys of Caunes Minervois and Fontfroide.

In the heart of their vineyards, the winemakers met will be happy to make you taste their oenological treasures. In the mountains, the breeder, the market gardener or the beekeeper, the miller or the sawmill ... will share their quality products and their passion of the soil.

If you are interested in Romanesque art, archeology, caving and caves, Romans or Cathars, we will put our knowledge of the region at your disposal to fill your curiosity for this original and endearing region.

On site, you have at your disposal a shared swimming pool with the small cottage (2 people); it is heated (solar heating) and secured (8x4x1,50). Also available, a table tennis table but ... no TV or wifi.

The house consists of two bedrooms and two mezzanines, each sleeping 2 people.

Lovely remote place to stay. Ideal if you want to enjoy quiet and peace the countryside, talking, relaxing and taking it easy. Not a place if you want TV, internet and all the modern distractions in life - go to a hotel or a villa. But that is what makes it so good. Family dinners around a table making a perfect end to the day. Note that phone signals can be found but may need to move around a bit in the grounds. Hosts were brilliant, very friendly and comprehending our poor French and responding to our questions beforehand. Particularly liked the toys for young children and will forever remember the big tractor book together with its real life counterpart. Ping-pong and pool for the adults too! The selection of guide books was also impressive and help find some good walks and places to visit.

Une très belle destination à consommer sans modération
Ingrid et Marcel sont des hôtes uniques et conviviaux. Ils vous font découvrir leur paradis avec enthousiasme et le lieux est magique. Parfait pour se ressourcer en famille. Ados a crocs avec leurs portables s'abstenir! Nous avons tous été ravis de ce séjour et je vous le conseille.

Super weekend dans un cadre merveilleux
On était accueilli chaleureusement par Marcel et Ingrid dans cette magnifique endroit, loin de tout. C'est une maison tres cosy, on s’y sent bien. Ils nous ont indiqué une super balade à faire avec nos enfants jusqu’au plateau, avec une vue impressionnante. Un séjour à refaire avec plaisir, et pour plus longtemps.

Belsoleil porte bien son nom
Agréable semaine dans le calme et la beauté du lieu. balades en forêt, farniente au bord de la piscine depuis laquelle la vue est somptueuse, pétanque et apéros, nuits étoilées.... Nous avons trouvé chez Ingrid et Marcel ce que nous cherchions. Un merveilleux séjour !

Paradise on earth
Before coming we referred in our family to Belsoleil as ‘paradise’. This was based on the photos. - and was risky as our expectations were as a result extremely high. After two weeks we can only say that it deserves this name even more then we could have imagined beforehand. Belsoleil is a magical place. It is to be enjoyed by anyone who loves butterflies, trees, aclovely pool and above all: silence. Especially the latter is still resounding within us. Added tot this is the incredible hospitality of Ingrid and Marcel, who did everything they possibly could do (and even more) to make us feel welcome. The house felt as our own within 24 hours, our sole regret is the two weeks went by so quickly. But this is at the same time a motivation to return to this place perhaps even longer. Belsoleil will be in our hearts forever!

Calme et repos au bout du monde
Belle semaine passée dans ce gite du bout du monde, ou, du moins, du bout du chemin... Calme et repos sont les mots qui me viennent pour définir notre séjour. Beau domaine, très bien entretenu, départs de promenade à proximité qui nous entraînent vers de superbes paysages. La piscine indispensable avec une vue splendide sur le parc du Haut-Languedoc. Ce gîte pour 8 personnes est un peu trop petit, une des chambres (sous pente) n'est pas agréable, claustrophobes s'abstenir! Il est bien équipé, fonctionnel, pensé pour le bien-être des vacanciers. Un grand merci à Ingrid et Marcel pour leur accueil, leur gentillesse et pour leur disponibilité. Nous leur souhaitons bonne continuation .

Absolutely wonderful place
We had a fantastic week at Ingrid and Marcels hide away on a lush French mountain. With a lovely, rustic house, a swimming pool with an overwhelming view and a very very nice host couple, we could not have had a nicer holiday. Besides enjoying the house, the pool and the view, we spent our time on a local market, visited a beautiful cave, swam in mountain streams, visited small villages and walked in the green hills. We can highly recommend a stay in Belsoleil in any way.

Gîte très agréable, au milieu de la nature
Notre séjour d'une semaine s'est très bien passé. Gîte en pleine nature, avec une magnifique vue depuis la piscine. La maison était propre et bien entretenue. Les enfants étaient ravis par les jeux et les livres mis à notre disposition. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la gentillesse et l'hospitalité d'Ingrid et Marcel, qui nous ont donné les conseils pour trouver de bons produits locaux, et se faisaient un plaisir de nous faciliter le séjour. Les enfants se souviendront de la superbe cabane en bois de Marcel (une cabane digne d'une hutte de Hobbit), leur lieu favori de jeu, où ils ont même passé une nuit ! En résumé, très bon séjour, nous recommandons vivement.

Belsoleil est l'endroit parfait pour passer des vacances. Entre plaine et montagne les activités sont très diversifiées et lorsqu'on ne veut pas vadrouiller, la piscine est parfaite pour s'amuser ou se reposer au soleil. Niveau gastronomie les alentours sont bien fournis: le vin du Minervois ou des Corbières, la charcuterie des avants-monts du massif central, les châtaignes, les asperges sauvages, les champignons (si Marcel et Ingrid veulent bien vous enseigner les bons coins ;-) )... Bref, Belsoleil c'est le pied

paradis vert !!
séjour enchanteur dans ce coin de verdure où tout est réuni pour passer d excellentes vacances : le dévouement et la gentillesse d Ingrid et Marcel Chapuis les propriétaires, la piscine avec une vue magnifique, la table de ping pong, le filet de badminton....enfin c est l' endroit idéal si vous avez de jeunes enfants et que vous aimez la nature !

Que du bonheur !
C'est le lieu idéal pour se reposer, et aussi pour s'amuser rétorqueront les enfants ! En effet : on entend que la nature ... et les enfants qui jouent dans la piscine, ou dans la cabane. Ils ont aussi découvert le tir à l'arc,et ils ont fait du VTT, ... Nous avons découvert la région grâce à Ingrid et Marcel (les propriétaires) qui nous ont indiqué les sites intéressants et divertissants, et aussi un super restaurant à Minerve.

gîte à recommander!
Nous sommes arrivés sous la pluie battante (1ère pluie depuis des mois) et nous avons trouvé au bout du long sentier qui mène au grand gîte deux rayons de soleil: Ingrid et Marcel. Merci encore à eux pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur générosité et le temps consacré à nous indiquer les plus jolis coins à voir et les meilleurs restos. Les enfants étaient ravis de faire du vélo, de jouer dans la cabane, d'aller chercher la cabane des chasseurs, de sauter dans la piscine (désolée pour les litres d'eau perdus...) et de faire du tir à l'arc avec Marcel. La maison, charmante, très propre à notre arrivée est bien équipée. A ne pas louper: les gorges d'Héric, Minerve et le Minervois et ses vignobles. Ciblez les marchés paysans et utilisez les retours de balades pour faire vos courses car les commerces sont assez éloignés.

Heerlijk!!
Een heerlijk huis om te verblijven. Bijzonder gastvrije gastheer en -vrouw. Ze gaven ons alle ruimte om de week met ons gezin (grootouders, kinderen en kleinkinderen) door te brengen. Het huis ligt afgelegen, wat het ook sprookjesachtig maakt. Prachtig uitzicht! Het zwembad veilig voor de jongsten doordat er een gesloten hek omheen staat. Wij hebben genoten!

Vacances en toute quiétude au coeur de la nature
(+++) Cet été nous avons passé 2 semaines chez Ingrid et Marcel. Un gîte situé en pleine nature et au calme. Le gîte est bien entretenu et spacieux et la piscine offre une vue dégagée et splendide sur la vallée. Les environs sont dignes des plus belles histoires de lutins, trolls et fées...Les propriétaires sont adorables et n'hésitent pas à partager leur amour pour leur terre et les environs... (-) Nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu du très beau temps...et nous n'avons pu utiliser la piscine comme nous le souhaitions. Cela rend un peu lourd le budget "vacances".

"Nous avions besoin d''une semaine de repos.... avec nos 2 filles (10 et 12 ans), nous sommes donc arrivés à Belsoleil: petit coin de paradis! Toute la famille a profité de la piscine (vue extraordinaire) et du calme de ce gîte perdu dans la forêt.Idéal pour déconnecter (ne pas prévoir trop de visites aux alentours car les trajets sont un peu longs). Ingrid et Marcel sont adorables et rendent le lieu très attachant."
