"what a charming hotel. five stars in every category except one- which they are aware of and inform you of in advance. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian only section of town you've got to park the cxar and carry your bags. Not a terrible thing. Yet- on this same trip we encountered a similar situation in Porto only this hotel would send someone to meet you and bring in your bags. The Rua Vilar might think about it. Everything else is exceptional and the luggage lugging didn't dampen our spirits. Putting it in perspective a lot of folks come to this town after hiking for days or weeks on the Caminho de Capistrano so maybe this is intentional."

"Great historical hotel. Beautiful setting. The rooms are very comfortable. Worth spending the time exploring the historical complex. There aren’t any restaurants near by but the hotel has a good restaurant on site. Overall, we had a very nice stay. "

"We were on the Camino and the property is an additional 2.5kms from Padron and there are limited services around it. The staff were friendly and the cafeteria served good drinks and bar food. There is also a restaurant but we didn’t try it. The rooms were basic and the beds are very hard. The hotel was very busy so, when we went to breakfast at 7.30am it looked like a swarm of locusts had descended on it because there was very little left apart from 15 varieties of cake and the odd piece of bread. I gave up. "
