Booked this property May 29 and money was charged to my Credit card and I immediately received several confirmations. I didn’t hear anything a few days before we left for our trip which was in Bogota Columbia. I got a response saying “here’s your keys” printed everything out and thought all I needed was there only to find out when we arrived at 3 in the morning on the 29th of July as we had flight delays that we could not get in. The guard at the gate let us use the phone to call the property owner. The property owner had no clue we were coming and said it had never been confirmed with her that she was renting her property to us for those dates. So here we were in a foreign country at 3 AM with nowhere to go and all this baggage for an event that we had to be ready for the next day. The property owner was nasty and rude to my friend who is a Spanish-speaking person. I have made numerous attempts over the weekend even though I was in another country to try to do a chat or submit an email or something with VBRO customer service with no success. . So I will be disputing the charge as
we never walked one step into this property. The guard would not allow us access. We had to go to a hotel and pay to stay for the event that we were there for. I’ve read a lot of very disappointing reviews about VBRO just won’t acknowledge the numerous stories that I have heard about losing money because no one wants to be held accountable. I have five witnesses that were with me when we were going through this and the guard in the guard shack heard everything this property owner tell my friend (who speaks Spanish) that it was not her problem that VBRO never gave her the money and she knew nothing about it and could do nothing for us and it was our problem and VBRO’s. So I have my booking confirmation number and my CC statement. Unacceptable!! Do not use this company!
