Very comfortable modern hotel in the center of Bochum. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom is brand new and spotless. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well, with a wide selection of food and beverage.

If youre going to Bochum or the Rhine-Ruhr area, I'd suggest this place. Newly renovated and the rooms were great There is a Rewe that is open late next door and a couple of great restaurants. This is a steal and a hidden gem.

Just an OKAY hotel
This seems to be a new hotel. Check-in was troublesome due to a technical issue with the reservation system. No room service and towel replacement during our 3 days stay. Breakfast was included, but there was limited choice. Other than that, it was fine.

We didn't even end up staying here but we did arrive and take a look around. I guess it was our mistake by not doing enough research but the area around the hotel was full of construction and not exactly close to the upscale or historic vibe we were looking for. Lots of graffiti covered buildings in the immediate vicinity. Ended up staying closer to the Veltins Arena, which was the reason we were even in town. Not bashing on the hotel in any way because we never went inside but do your research so you're not surprised.

Disappointed by lack of service
The service at the hotel was pretty poor. There was a sign in the room saying that daily housekeeping was not available for sustainability reasons (which is fine). However, there was no housekeeping at all over a stay of four nights. In addition, one evening, I wanted to get a drink from the hotel bar, which is greatly advertised on the hotel website. Coming downstairs, I saw signs saying that they could only offer limited service due to staffing problems (again, this is fine in principle, although it could have been announced in advance). However, when I asked one of the three (!) gentlemen working at the front desk whether I could have anything to drink, they said that they were too busy and that I should check out a restaurant across the street from the hotel. The breakfast was okay. Overall, this experience was quite poor. The hotel advertises amenities on their website that they don’t provide. With the lack of any form of housekeeping, I really wonder why the rooms were so expensive. So, not recommended, and I won’t come back.
