This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beachfront condo is a ground floor, corner unit that offers quick and easy access to 7 continuous miles some of the most beautiful west facing beaches in Florida. Only 50 feet from the ocean the condo affords unobstructed, panoramic views of Florida's Gulf of Mexico.
One of 12 buildings on the property this building has only 2 floors and 8 units per floor so the building is very quiet and peaceful.
The unit has been completely renovated and refurnished. New floors, new ceilings, reinsulated walls, new heating/air conditioning systems, new plumbing, new appliances, new lighting, new furnishings ...new everything.
The master bedroom has a king bed, 'his and her' closets and a connecting bathroom with a large walk-in glass shower and double sink quartz vanity. Sliding glass doors off the bedroom into an open-air lanai provide spectacular views of the ocean.
The 2nd bedroom has a king bed, a 52 inch wall mounted Samsung flatscreen TV, and an adjacent bathroom with a large walk-in shower and quartz double sink vanity.
The kitchen is equipped with an ultra quiet Bosch diswasher, a 24 cubic foot French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer, a 4 burner electric cooktop with range hood, a combination microwave/wall oven, a 3 seat center island and a complete array of cooking and eating utensils.
The living room has a 5 seat Lee sectional couch, 2 swivel chairs, a wall mounted 65 inch Samsung flatscreen TV, and an adjoining dining room table that can seat 6.
The unit has a washer/dryer, central AC with an accessible thermostat, variable speed ceiling fans in each of the 2 bedrooms, the living room and the lanai, an outside deck facing the ocean with 2 'steamer' chairs and a table in between and a communal gas BBQ (Weber).
A screened-in, open-air lanai faces the Gulf and is a wonderful place to have drinks at the end of a day. Facing southwest, the property gets all day sun and spectacular sunsets.
Secure, high-speed Wireless Internet service is provided throughout the unit.
Vegetation and wildlife around the condo are uniquely southern. Small iguanas and giant gopher tortoises are seen frequently, dolphin sightings in the Gulf occur periodically and occasionally manatees, which are large but gentle sea cows, can be seen swimming along the shoreline.
The unit is part of the Boca Grande Club, a gated, 62-acre private residential community on the Gulf side of Gasparilla Island. Amenities offered at the Club include very recently renovated 'Upper Deck' and 'Clubhouse' restaurants, 2 pools including 1 with poolside lunch and drink service, an oceanside 'Tiki Bar', complimentary beach chaises and umbrellas around the pools and along the beaches, a complete, immaculate and very popular fitness facility, 8 clay tennis courts with 3 tennis pros 'in-season' offering drills, matches and lessons, a small retail tennis shop, towels at the pools and fitness facility, complimentary use of sea kayaks, and a spacious Library/Quiet Room in the Dunes Chalet building that has books, a TV, comfortable couches and a piano for those times when guests simply prefer a little 'out of the way' quiet time.
In addition to tennis, organized programs at the Club include Yoga and Water Aerobics.
Bicycles and golf carts can be rented at the Club.
Both are excellent ways to explore the island which is narrow (only 7 miles long), safe and easily navigable.
Boca Grande (formally known as Gasparilla Island) is located off the southwest coast of Florida, north of Naples and south of Sarasota. It is part of the 'barrier chain' of islands that includes Sanibel and Captiva. Connected to the mainland by a short, tolled ($6) causeway, what makes Boca Grande unique are its miles of beaches and its tranquil, relaxed, Old Florida feel: no highrises, no malls, no traffic lights, no fast food restaurants and no neon signs. The town on the island (whose formal name is Boca Grande) is charming with excellent shopping, galleries and several very good restaurants.
This is a higher end island with property values ranging from $600,000 up to $25 Million.
The unit, the Club, and the island offer privacy, relaxation, and rejuvenation....a fantastic vacation getaway.
As Part Of Our Rental:
- we send guests Club & Island Recommendations to help familiarize them with what activities and facilities are available at both the Club and on the island.
- we send guests a 'How To Use Our Condo' booklet that explains how to connect to WiFi, how to use the appliances and motorized blinds, where to find medical care 'on island' if needed, how to make reservations at the Club dining room, how to use the TV, how to connect to guest streaming accounts such as Netflix, Amazon Prime etc, how to use Amazon's voice activated assistant 'Alexa', etc. to make guest stays as easy and trouble-free as possible.
- we provide a 'Welcome' Package that includes a bottle of wine (typically a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay), a container of nuts (typically Emerald) and a bag of Starbucks French Roast coffee. Travel days can be long and tiring and in those instances where we've received some sort of 'welcome package' in our travels, we've really appreciated them.
- and we provide all paper products in the condo (toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, Kleenex etc), all cleaning products (including dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, jet dry, bar soap in the shower and Softsoap at the 5 sinks) and garbage bags, dryer sheets and coffee filters. So unless you have some strong brand preferences, there is no need for you to buy any of these things when you shop for your stay.
Please note:
- we have a 1 week minimum stay between Nov 1 and April 30 and a 4 day minimum stay between May 1 and Oct 31.
- we have a 2 person maximum on the unit and if the stay is 1 week or more we're OK with an occasional 3rd person such as an adult daughter, adult son or friend staying for a night or two. Ideal for couples who'd like a little more space (1350 sq ft).
- for 1 week or greater stays, we prefer weekend to weekend bookings which we find best suit most peoples vacation schedules
- the unit has a lot of light colored fabrics, light colored walls and doors, glass table tops etc and so is not particularly suitable for young kids. Nothing against kids (we have our own) but we just think putting them into this environment would be unfair to both them, their parents and to us.
- and finally, just a reminder that this is a no smoking, no pet and no 'part of a group' property.
Thank you.
