"We have stayed at the Craiglynne several times, for us as an outdoorsy family it is an ideal blend of value, comfort and location. Some of the rooms may be a little tired, but they are large, clean, and facilities are good - it really works for us that they are dog friendly too. The staff are lovely and always happy to help make our stays, and part of the reason we keep going back. There is a lovely woodland area literally just opposite the hotel which is great for walking, particularly having some shelter if the weather turns inclement. Looking forward to our next stay already!!"

"Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff."

"Property was great but unfortunately the restaurant was closed and the other nearest restaurant didn't serve food on Wednesday."

"There were clear instructions from the host, and we found all the beds made with plenty of pillows, towels etc. The caravan quickly warms up when the heating is on and seemed better insulated than some. There were plenty of plates and cutlery, a good sized fridge for a mobile home, and small libraries of books and DVDs. We knew that the wi-fi was unlikely to work, although the park did have its own system for a modest daily charge, and the 4G mobile network locally is good. The children enjoyed exploring the field at the far end of the site, and we would love to return. The only downside was that our time there was too short."
