Alpine Bliss - Walk to slopes, dog friendly, fenced yard!

Alpine Bliss is the mountain home that everyone is looking for – you can walk to slopes, its pet friendly with a fenced yard, has beautiful mountain views, and is close to everything!

Our home is located at 3,760 feet elevation on Appalachian Ski Mountain, and just minutes from Blowing Rock, Boone, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and sleeps 8 and offers everything you need for a relaxing mountain getaway!

Main Level:
The main level features two living rooms - one with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and a floor to ceiling gas log stone fireplace. The second living room has a wall of windows which allows the beautiful mountain views and sunlight to spill in. Once the sun goes down, you can curl up on the couch and find something to watch on the brand new 47” Smart TV. (2022). If you can’t find anything to watch on one of the channels with YouTube TV, don’t fret, the TV is preloaded with all the other streaming apps that you can login to. The updated and fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, bar seating for three, and is open to the living room and dining area with seating for six. Step out onto the brand new Trek deck (2022) deck and bask in the beautiful mountain views while the little-ones and/or furry-ones run around safely in the fenced back yard. The main level includes a full bathroom with shower and tub combo, and a bedroom with a queen sized bed with a large closet. The master suite is also located on the main level and features a brand new pillow-top king bed, makeup vanity and smart TV with built-in Roku. The master suite has a HUGE walk-in closet and recently renovated master bathroom with granite countertops and large tiled shower.

Second Floor:
The second floor features a living area with a small couch, flat screen TV, and a small desk and chair (perfect for working from “home”). The second floor also includes a full size bed, and a daybed with pullout trundle twin bed, as well as a half bathroom. There is a walk-in closet with fun saloon-style doors.

Parking:
There is parking for 3 cars. Please note that when Appalachian Ski Mountain is making snow, some snow is likely to blow across the road and onto the driveway of this home. Exercise caution when walking or driving around the property during these times.

Pet Policy:
Our home is dog friendly! We allow a limit of 2 dogs. All dogs must be mature and well-trained. Unfortunately we are unable to allow cats, thank you for understanding.

Location:
Our home is located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, directly across the street from the top of Strudel Slope and 0.3 miles from the main entrance of Appalachian Ski Mountain Resort. We are conveniently located right in the middle of Blowing Rock and Boone – only 3.5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock and 4.4 miles from downtown Boone.

Best family holiday trip destination

Great ski trip!
The location was perfect for our family ski trip. We were able to watch the slopes from the front window! The house was great and as described. Unfortunately some of our family got sick during our trip, however the house was comfortable and accommodating to all our needs.

2nd time staying here. Love it. Comfy beds, great layout, nicely appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Perfect for our whole group. Teens went skiing, adults went shopping, reading, puzzle making, and watched a fabulous snowfall. We will be back!

Blowing Rock - Return Visit
This was our second time in this lovely, comfortable home for an Easter weekend getaway for our small family (and fur babies). Although the weather was not as nice as we would have liked, we enjoyed movies/TV, games, puzzles and reading by the cozy fireplace. All of our questions were promptly answered by the hosts -- excellent communication. We look forward to another visit in the future!

Outstanding Location
As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alpine Bliss! This is the third year we have spent a week there. The location is outstanding: Only 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 8-10 minutes to the little town of Blowing Rock with many unique shops and excellent dining, 15 minutes to Boone and Appalachian State, and in the winter, just steps away from snow skiing. Lindsey was prompt, pleasant, and very helpful with any questions or assistance we needed! We highly recommend.

Lindsey is great to work with and very helpful! Loved the house, it was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. We had everything we needed at the house to cook in if we needed too, and yet was close to restaurants if we wanted to eat out. Close to shops and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Another amazing stay at Alpine Bliss
We came up from South FL to enjoy a little pre-Christmas winter fun. The house was perfect just like last time! Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and bake cookies. Our kids and dog enjoyed the fenced yard and we all had a blast at Appalachian Ski Mountain. Host communication was great, as always.

Wonderful stay!!
We absolutely loved our stay at this perfect mountain getaway! The house was well-equipped, clean, and spacious for the three of us. Loved sitting on the deck with the cool mountain breezes, sipping coffee in the morning and cocktails in the late afternoon. Feeding and watching the hummingbirds was a treat too! And the dogs loved the fenced-in yard! Location was perfect and the owners were very quick to respond to any questions that we had. We will definitely be back!

Inviting, Warm and Comfy Home -- Great for Pets!
Property was exactly as described and we enjoyed a nice weekend in this lovely home. Highlights included the ease of letting our dogs out to roam the fenced-in yard, the remote control fireplace, the view out the large back window (had a dusting of snow while there!), and location which was only minutes from Main Street Blowing Rock and a short distance from Boone. We experienced great e-mail communications with the owner, with timely responses and helpful information. Would definitely love to visit again and would recommend to others.

Great Property!
We enjoyed the house so much. It is in a perfect location, everything was comfortable and clean. There were even plastic "saucers" for my grandchildren to play with in the snow. We appreciated having the "starter" items in the house. Being able to wash your hands or run the dishwasher the first night makes arrival easier. We would definitely rent this property again and recommend it, especially for families.

Heaven on Earth
We adored our stay at Alpine Bliss. My family and I in addition to our three standard poodles enjoyed the home and the fenced in yard very much. The house is lovely and the view spectacular. Winter Wonderland at Alpine Bliss
Alpine Bliss was a dream come true for this Florida family and our children’s first time seeing snow. We arrived after dark and had no trouble entering the house and firing up the push-button fireplace. The house was spotless and cozy and had everything we needed for preparing meals, relaxing, and comfort. The location is fantastic, right down the street from App Ski Mountain, a very short drive to downtown Blowing Rock and all of the great restaurants and shops there, and about 30 min from Hawksnest, Sugar, and Beech. Our dogs loved it as well and enjoyed playing in the fenced yard and snoozing by the fire. Communication with the owner was instant and perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to go back next year.

We absolutely loved our weekend at this home. The location is great for hiking and proximity to wonderful restaurants. The house is very clean and cozy. My favorite part is hearing the whistle of Tweetsie railroad from the deck! Will definitely return!

Second Time’s a Charm!
This was our second stay at Alpine Bliss, and we knew when we booked the stay that it was a good choices for us. We love the Blowing Rock area and booked a full week stay. There are numerous excellent restaurants in the town of Blowing Rock. Since there is a very nice kitchen in this home, we did a combination of dining at some of our favorite restaurants and also getting takeout meals. We had our Yorkie traveling with us so had to include her on some of the meals! We only used a portion of the home as it has a second main level bedroom plus an upstairs with beds, living area, and tv - great for the teenagers! Lindsey and Whalen have recently upgraded the deck with a Trex floored deck. Also, they have re-painted the entire exterior with an attractive tan/gray color finish! A great location and a comfortable vacation home!

Perfect Stay!
We went up for our son's graduation with two families. The house is perfect for multiple ages and families to enjoy each other and yet has two separate spaces. One with a gorgeous mountain view and the other a cozy fireplace for conversation. Fenced yard was a major plus for the pup!

The house was an amazing location for my friends and I to snowboard at Appalachian Ski Mountain. The hosts replied quickly with any random question I had. I highly recommend this property.
