Homecoming at IU was great
This rural house at the end of a street and top of a ravine was great for our group. We used the outdoor fire pit extensively. It's surrounded by a large deck space for whatever size gathering you have. Its rustic, but worked well for a large group. Great kitchen!

Do NOT Rent! 4th of July horror
Upon arrival, we were immediately disappointed by the exterior. The photos are very misleading. It is overgrown, dirty, and falling apart on the outside; there is also a dilapidated, doorless garage on the driveway that looks like it has been modeled after a scene from a horror movie. We trek over to the door and the code provided does not work. The owner responds after 10-15 min by saying they have been having problems with changing the lockbox and provides the previous renter's code. We get in but wonder how many other people will also be able to get into the home while we stay. Upon entering we were immediately overcome by the smell of mold and old food. But the true icing on the cake was the filth. Apparently, it was too much to ask that the home be cleaned before we arrived. The used, old sheets from the previous renter's were uninvitingly balled up on all the beds for us. Dirty towels were piled in front of the washer providing an aroma of mildew to add to the scent extravaganza. Broken glass on the kitchen floor, rotting food in the garbage and fridge, disgusting toilets, scum on the counters, old food baked on the stove, FILTHY floors and windows, and spiders, SO many spiders. After a solid 45 minutes and no solution to the filthy problem, the owner has the gall to ask if we would stay the weekend for half price. Almost a month of going back and forth with VRBO, no response from the owner, and still no refund. DO NOT RENT!!!!

Bloomington indiana june 2024 trip
We rented this house so we could be close to olivet campground, close to little nashville and monroe lake and lake lemon. This home was big enough for our family trip to enjoy. We loved the house. Yes its old house needed of some updates, but very nice. Only problem we really noticed was the over grown plants and weeds. No one has taken care of the outside and deck and walk ways was pretty dirty and with the cleaning lots of spider webs everywhere. It was hard when 2 of my kids have spider scares. There was alot. Everything looked cleaned but stainless needed cleaned, refrig was dirty inside. Some of dishes had spider webs specially the coffee cups hanging on wall. Othere than this i save the home is beautiful to me. Trash cans was totally full they haven't been taken out in a long time, so was hard for our trash. But we took it to the street because Amy asked us too in list of rules. I video the home before and after if any questions. Just wish yard looked as good as nieghbors did. Thank you we still enjoyed our trip. Just wish specially yard looked better. Didnt feel it was worth cost. Thank you anyway
