"The house is beautiful and very clean. Fun game room. Excellent view of the lake. Many sitting areas to enjoy. They provide games and books as well. The owner Neil answered all our questions promptly. Local food leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely AVOID Sussex Sit n Chat diner and avoid Silvio’s Villa (food was severely overpriced and tasted like prison cafeteria food. ) "

"What a fabulous little gem in Highland Lakes, NJ. The owners were fantastic and approachable, the cottage is updated with all the regular amenities that you would want. The first morning we saw two swans a hundred yards off of the dock followed by two red-headed Pileated Woodpeckers that came into the trees in the yard, simply magical in the winter morning. "The description of the property was accurate; however, a few things surprised me that would have affected my decision to book or not. First, the house is located beside a busy road where traffic is moving all hours of the day and night at 35-55 mph. For some, this isn't a big deal. For others, it's not as quiet as described. "ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Its was a treat staying here. Its out in the country. Its called a cabin but its more of a house. The bedrooms were perfect and the beds were comfy. The property had a pond, and a fire pit. We seen 3 deer as we were pulling into the driveway. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL!!"

Long drive way to house, plenty of parking

"Peaceful and serene! The property was perfect for us and our dogs. Nature abound! Soaking in the hot tub with snowflakes falling from the sky. The owner was so accommodating and the house had everything you could ask for. Will come back for sure "

"I have wanted to stay in one of these vintage vacation cottages for years. We happened to see this listing for an upcoming trip to West Point. I highly recommend staying here. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The only slight issue was finding the driveway to property and the road noise. A sound machine was provided and it was useful. We had a great stay here."

"This home was just what our group of 16 needed to find rest, reconvene from the day’s activities, and prepare for all the next day’s activities. The town of Monroe was a great place to stay as it was centrally located for all the places we visited. "
