"We stayed Christmas 24 when there was 3 days of heavy snow. As chalet has a steep drive and stepper approach road, ensure you have winter tyres and chains. Could only improve house in 3 areas, a microwave, hoover to clean up, better range of kitchen utensils e.g. working mixer, not broken blender, range of sauce pan sizes, and a large metal sieve. But wonderful house, warm, and comfy. Neighbours are lovely."

Communication was easy and so was the furnished app. The views are amazing as is the village of Wengen. Downside is the chalet is at least 10min away from the train station and with an extremely steep climb every time you leave. People with difficulty walking would not do well. "We spent 10 wonderful days staying at Chalet Barbara. The chalet is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. The stunning views are worth the walk up the steep hill and the hosts who live upstairs were friendly and helpful taking us to and from the station at the beginning and end of our stay so we didn’t have to struggle with luggage. "We enjoyed our time in Chalet Brunner 4. The views are stunning and it had all we needed. It’s a very light and airy apartment. The walk up to the chalet from town was a workout but it’s such a hilly place that almost every home appears to have similar hike! It was no problem to find an electric taxi to take our luggage up the hill when we arrived."

"My husband, adult son and I stayed for several days and had a great time exploring the region. The home is lovely and comfortable, with great views, and great access to trails right out the front door. Our host was gracious and helpful with check in and check out. Our only glitch was having to pay an additional tourist fee at the end. Maybe we missed this info when we booked, but it was disappointing. Other than that, we recommend this vacation rental."

"Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in Grengiols verbracht und haben uns sehr gut erholt. Die Wohnung liegt mitten im Ort, ist aber trotzdem ruhig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Bei Anreise mit dem Zug muss man berücksichtigen, dass der Bahnhof ein ganzes Stück unterhalb des Ortes liegt. Der Weg ist aber auch mit Gepäck machbar. Im Dorfladen gegenüber gibt es sogar frische Brötchen und auch sonst eigentlich alles für den täglichen Bedarf. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"The apartment is very nice with a great view out over the valley towards lauterbrunnen. It’s a 5 minute walk slightly uphill from the town centre. The apartment is well appointed with everything we needed to self cater evening meals and breakfasts for the week. Our only suggestion is to have two single beds in the second bedroom rather than as it is now with a double bed in each bedroom. We have two teenage kids so one was on the sofa bed That aside we enjoyed our stay very much."
