Walking the old part of town is very easy and comfortable, even at night. The apartment was clean and so spacious with a sleeping area, living area, kitchen, and separate toilet and shower room. "The interior of the apartment is as described and shown in photos. However, for our stay the pool was not open, the tennis court over grown, and the grass up to knee height. This had the effect of reducing the usable area of the 2.8 hectare property to the driveway and the apartment which was very disappointing to our group and difficult with small children. "The hotel is a gorgeously renovated abbey on the edge of the old town center of Beaune. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Betty we felt welcome and relaxed. The room was spacious and elegant. The subterranean pool was a favorite feature to me, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast, which was served in a beautiful room by kind and attentive people, was delicious, with buffet items and eggs served to order. We enjoyed a wonderful stay. The facility is awe inspiring and the people who run the hotel were extremely welcoming. This is a very special hotel."
