"The hotel was excellent. We had a Lakeview room. The bathroom did have an odd smell of sewer, but we didn’t care, The area around the pool was under construction, but we did use it. I’m sure it’ll be nice once it’s done."

"We called the hotel to let the m know we would be checking in near midnight. Communication was excellent and although reception was closed by 11 pm, we had a smooth check-in with the night porter. We were also directed to a nearby restaurant/bar which was open until 2 pm. Coffee in the morning was fabulous. Rooms are very comfortable and ours was spacious. It was a quick one night stay in Thun, and we would stay here again."

"Very lovely stay. Beautiful views of the lake. Room was large and very comfortable with a full size tub for soaking after hikes all day. The trek to the train station from the hotel is uphill but manageable. Food at restaurant was average. "

(Both the complimentary breakfast and we had a delicious dinner.) and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. "

"If you’re looking for a "Four Seasons" experience this is not the place. If you are looking for a unique, well run, warm and welcoming place inside a historic setting, this IS the place. Perched above the beautiful community of Thun, this boutique hotel has well appointed rooms, spa facilities and a thoughfully currated menu and wine selection at the on site restaurant. With all of that said, the staff are the biggest asset, they are gracious, polite, helpful and so welcoming. I would stay again, for sure! "
