Redbird Retreat is a dog friendly cozy cottage nestled in a wooded acre next to a national forest. There are many beautiful parks, walking/hiking trails and waterfalls to enjoy year round. Lake Nottely is very close by which offers lots of fun family activities and we are also close to the newly open Harrah's Casino in Murphy, NC!

Sweet little cabin in the woods
The property was very easy to find! Everything was exceptionally clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was nicely appointed. Robin (the owner) was very kind and responsive to any questions I had. Would absolutely stay there again!

The property owner has quick response times and even went out of her way to fix a slight issue. The house was easy to find and even though the beds were firm they were perfect for my back pain problem which is a huge plus! Everything we needed was provided for our short stay. And the location is perfect for being secluded but close enough to get out and a bout.

Great Getaway
What a great place to stay for a long weekend! We visited with family who lives in town - we played board games in the living room. I loved the fenced in area for the dogs (equipped with a pooper scooper for easy clean up!) We didn’t use the washer and dryer but the full sized units were great. It was cozy and comfortable for the two of us and the three dogs! Great contact with the owners and easy to find. Thanks for a great stay!

Cute and Convenient
The cabin was perfect for our needs while we were in between moves and Robin was so nice to let us extend our stay twice! The fenced area for our fur babies was ideal too. It’s a small area but connects to the patio so they didn’t feel confined. Kitchen was well stocked too. Perfect for two people and convenient to stores/restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you travel with your fur babies!

TV's did not work, no instructions on how to operate. This is about TV's over fireplace. GPS had had time getting us to and from cabin to make it to the wedding. The amount of time we were there it was a nice place, if the TV had been working.

Lovely Cottage!
The pet friendly Redbird Retreat was lovely and very relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! The home is surrounded by woods and a small power line so there are plenty of places to walk dogs. Plus, there is a small fenced area for pets. The deck is very nice for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon. I found the wifi and cable to work well. The house was well equipped and I will definitely rent again when visiting Blairsville. Loved using her Dyson Vacuum cleaner...may have to get one for myself!

Outstanding Retreat
We have been traveling for the past few years from place to place and stayed in many rentals. We found Redbird Retreat to be a lovely home. The owner has obviously put a great deal of thought into the furnishings of this home. It really wants for nothing. My wife and I - and our little dog - stayed for a couple of weeks and found it to be extremely clean and comfortable. It's a quiet neighborhood setting close to the lake with plenty of privacy. The deck is a really nice place to sit and relax when not visiting the lake or nearby parks/waterfalls.

House hunting with our dogs
A brief 3 day stay with our dogs from Florida looking at vacation homes. Looked for something convenient and close to town to our realtor. Also allowed our 3 dogs which was extremely nice. Road easy to drive on and houses around but very quiet. Was able to walk dogs down the road not worried about traffic. It does have a side fenced yard which was a reason I rented it, but was really muddy and smaller than expected so dogs couldn’t really explore like I thought, but otherwise would definitely recommend and stay here again when we come to visit being we didn’t find a home this time around.

Wonderful! A peaceful port in the storm
We rented this cottage as we evacuated from coastal Florida avoiding hurricane Irma. It was me, my son, my daughter, my granddaughter and our four poodles. Robin was kind enough to accept our dogs and this place was great. After a very long and sometimes stressful trip, we arrived at this beautiful, comfortable and enchanting cottage. Immediately, our stress fell away and was replaced by calm. The cottage is near others but felt secluded as it is surrounded by large trees and it also borders the national forest. Every day we were visited by a family of deer. It is an easy ride to town, which we did often. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having laundry facilities. Thank you Robin, your cottage was truly a wonderful and peaceful port in the storm.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Redbird Retreat. The bed was great - not to hard not to soft. We cooked a few meals and found everything we needed right there. We spent several enjoyable evenings in front of the fireplace. The property manager was kind enough to arrange for some firewood. The deck was perfect for coffee in the morning. 5 stars all around!
