Nestling beside the tranquil River Ardle, in the area of Enochdhu, this is an area of Perthshire with outstanding natural beauty, with rolling countryside all round. The welcoming interior has plenty of room to spread out, with a large living room featuring a wood burner and sliding doors to the patio and extensive lawns beyond, which lead down to the River Ardle, perfect for summer entertaining. The three double bedrooms, one with en-suite, all have views over the gardens, and the well equipped kitchen leads through to a useful utility room where you can put your outdoor clothes after a day of exploring. The owner of the property lives within the 2 acres and although happy to help out in any way possible during your stay is absent during the day.
There is a wealth of outdoor activities and lots of idyllic cycle routes and invigorating walks, practically from the doorstep, including the famous Cateran Trail which leads through Enochdhu to the Spittal of Glenshee. Here you will find Glenshee Snowsports Centre, the largest ski resort in Britain, where some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country can be enjoyed. The nearby Cairngorms offer walkers and mountaineers 50 Munros to bag and savour, as well as some of the best mountain biking routes in Scotland. Golfers are well catered for, with multiple renowned courses within a short drive including Pitlochry and Rosemount in Blairgowrie. The village of Kirkmichael is just 2 miles away, with a wonderful village shop and community centre that sells fresh local produce and locally-sourced meats, along with other essential items. There is a fantastic bar and restaurant in the village too. For more extensive facilities, the town of Pitlochry is roughly 10 miles. Here, you can make the most of numerous restaurants, bars, independent shops, boutique stores, and a supermarket. There are further picturesque walks available in the area, including the beautiful Tay Forest Park.
