"We stayed at Treasure Cot at Jake’s with our 1.5 year old for 2 weeks in November and had an amazing time. The house is old and rustic but that’s part of the charm. Right on the beach and a short stroll down the local road from the main Jake’s property. Our house team (Tracy and Oshane) were so lovely and welcoming to our family in every way. Tracy prepared 3 wonderful local meals everyday for us - making modifications for our toddler where relevant. They were happy to chat and entertain visits from our toddler throughout the day. We also had a nanny arranged through Jake’s, Carlene, who was an absolute delight. We’ve been home for a few weeks and our little one is still talking about her “Carly”. At Jake’s itself, we enjoyed the spa on a few occasions and loved the cocktails at the bar. A terrific trip - we local forward to returning in years to come. "

"The sat nav directions took us to a field a couple of.mikes away from the property, called thenumber, took a few tries to get an answer, then due to misunderstanding, was given dirctions for coming in the opposite direction that we were.heading, took a few phone calls and a few wrong turns till we got there. The lady on arrival was really helpful. Had choice of 2 cabins. Lovely, vlean and huge bed. Take.mosquito spay though as right next to the water. The view was amazing of the pond. Had to ask for water to be turned on and the was a bit dodgy. Same lady in the morning didnt seem happy when she asked for id, i do not carry my passport with me, my jamaican husband just had his driving licence which she eventually took but seemed vexed. It is a gorgeous place, i personally wpukdnt visit again mostly due to the attitude but i would recommend a visit soley for the loaction. "

"Very quiet and comfortable. Grounds were maintained and the beach is right outside the back gate of the property. The only issue was internet access. Maybe it was due to the recent hurricane, so I want consider that a negative. We had our global hotspot, so we managed. "

"This property is a hidden jewel. Very quiet and very peaceful. Not in the heart of the town, with all the hustle and bustle. But close enough to the historical town of Black River, the capital of St. Elizabeth parish. Also a little historical fact, it was the first town to receive electricity. The property is near to famous attractions such as Black River Safari, YS falls, Jamaica Zoo, and Holland Bamboo. Love this property!"

"Sugar & Spice make Turtles Nest feel like home. We loved the pool and being able to eat breakfast outside each morning. It was very helpful to have bathrooms inside each room as a family of 5 being able to come in and shower quickly to make it back out to our next stop. The homemade breakfast each morning was amazing. Peta-Gay, Vincent and Zeb are very kind and thoughtful. Our cleaner lady who came was a Godsend who helped when my baby got sick. Next time we are in this area we will for sure stay at Turtles Nest. "

"Staying here was exactly what we needed. We got a pleasant surprise for our anniversary welcome that the entire family played a role in setting up. Sean and Geneva were quite hospitable and gave us everything we needed. Firefly was sooo relaxing. Its the kinda place that gets you in touch with just sounds and breath taking views of nature. 4x4 vehicle is most ideal for travel Definitely a revisit in que."
