Upon check-in at nearly 10pm there was a guy working at the desk who was friendly and nice. After unsuccessfully trying to look us up, a woman came to the desk and informed my child and I that our reservation was actually for tomorrow, not tonight. I pulled up my reservation confirmation email and the one showing that I had done the online check-in earlier and she said “well that’s not what our system says, and we’re booked” followed by “I could call my manager but she’d have to kick someone else out of their room and she’s not going to like that” and basically stared at me and my child without another word, other than to reiterate that they didn’t have a single room available. No offer to contact another Marriott in town or do anything helpful at all. The male employee was apologetic, while the female was rude and short with us, with a “too bad” attitude. We went back to the car and contacted Expedia, who confirmed that we had the right date. They called the hotel, who then miraculously were able to put us into an empty room despite telling us minutes before that they were completely full. When we went back in, the guy working at the desk was the one to talk to us while the woman clicked away on the computer before storming off as if we had personally offended her with our presence. I would never stay here again.
