"Superb property, best we have stayed in (out of six). Well equipped with everything and more you will need, plenty of plates, glasses, dishware and cookware. Proper oven. Do not be put off by the appearance from the street - the property is comfortable, spacious, peaceful and homely, with wonderful garden, terrace, and seating/relaxing areas. We are a couple and enjoyed the space. Great location, easy for Verdun, Metz, Nancy, and villages and sites along the Côtes de Meuse. Lovely walking in the...

"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"We had a great time staying here when we came to visit Verdun. We found the place to be very peaceful and we were able to really relax. "We needed a property that could sleep at least 6 people and had multiple bathrooms. It was a bonus that this property was unique in its history. The owners worked hard to fix and upgrade this property and it shows. It was less than 15 minutes from where my mom grew up and where our family lives, making it ideal. "We really enjoyed our stay here! The house has a great ground level, with a warm fireplace and space to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need. We really liked how every bedroom had its own bathroom and shower. The location was perfect too- trails nearby, country feel, yet close to town. Highly recommend!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely family home, there was plenty of space and lots of outdoor activities. We really liked the pool however it isn’t fenced which would have been good to know in advance. There is a local vineyard, restaurant and a supermarket nearby. We would definitely recommend this large house to other groups wanting a quiet getaway. The hosts were extremely helpful and offered to help with anything we needed."
