Mountain Retreat

Beautiful fully furnished, a one-bedroom cottage located in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. Queen size bed in the bedroom, fold-out futon in the living room, and queen size air mattress available. Full bathroom, kitchen, and living room and completely furnished with linens, towels, dishes, cookware, silverware, etc. Fully operational kitchen with stove, refrigerator, Keurig, and toaster oven. There are even amenities and goodies in the pantry for use! It also includes television with cable/wifi and DVD player.

Fully fenced yard with outside gazebo/picnic area and bbq for your use.

Ample parking for two vehicles-- the area can also accommodate a small RV on the premises.

Close to Keough's Hot Springs and just a short drive to Mammoth Mtn. Ski Area, June Lake, Mono Lake, Yosemite, and Death Valley National Park.

Ideal for all outdoor activities; skiing, mountain climbing, hang gliding, fishing, boating, mountain biking, etc.

For the climbing enthusiasts, the world-famous Buttermilk Boulders are close by.

Thanksgiving Stay
We had a great stay, the house is beautiful and so cozy. We came up to visit my mother in law at the care center and it was so nice to come back to a comfortable place to just relax. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our weekend fly-fishing trip
We found the this small home to be exactly as advertised and perfect for our three day stay in Bishop. The unit was very clean and Kim has provided the cottage with all the amenities that one could need to enjoy your stay as a jumping off point to the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Cleanest property we've ever stayed at. We go to Mammoth 2x a yr, so that is saying something. Very nice, communicative host. Pantry was something unexpexted with all the goodies! Fire pit at night with all the stars!

We loved everything about this place. Kim thought of absolutely everything we could possibly need. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic, we enjoyed hearing the creek and the frogs at night. This is definitely our go-to place in Bishop!

We were so happy with this rental. The space is small, but perfectly fine for three. Warm, great location for climbing, good WiFi, and the host is so welcoming. She left a bunch of treats and basic foods for us to make our stay better. We'd stay here again!

Very comfy and well taken care of. This cottage has the best stocked kitchen of any place we've ever stayed. Lots of TLC goes into maintaining this lovely cottage.

Quite, Clean and Kid Friendly!
The building is incredibly clean, well stocked and very quite. Set off the street and tucked into an enclave of beautiful neighboring properties this is a great stepping off point to explore so much of what the Bishop area has to offer. I would stay at this home again in a heartbeat!!!

Kim is a great host, she and Valerie really care about the guests comfort and needs. The property is clean and modern and stocked with little extras! The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and secluded. Yet very close to town. We would highly recommend staying here.

I have stayed at many VRBO buts the host attention to detail was well beyond average. Many places feel just like a motel —stripped down. This place feel more like a home. Best host ever!!

The home is just as stated. Kim, the owner, is a wonderful woman who wants her guests to be happy. I really liked that the property is well lit, so if you go out in the evening plenty of lighting goes on. Everything you could need for cooking is there. Thanks for the great stay, Kim!

Kim is amazing she was there to greet us when we arrived with welcome arms. The cottage is so beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything a home should have. She left a bottle of wine to welcome us and brought over a dozen fresh eggs and 2 bottles of homemade fruit preservative. We felt so at home and had an amazing weekend in Bishop. Thank you!

Nice cozy Bishop cottage
This cottage is perfect for a couple wanting some peace & quiet. It has a full kitchen suitable for those wishing to cook with all the cookware & utensils you'd need. Also a toaster oven & microwave & drip coffee machine. The bed & pillows were quite comfortable. The bathroom had tons of towels, hair dryer, hair straightener, & curling iron (wow!). There seemed to be unlimited quantities of hot water and the heater was more than sufficient to keep the whole place nice & toasty. Best of all, it has a manual thermostat, so the owner isn't controlling the temperature like the last 3 places we've stayed.😊 Kim is an accommodating hostess without being underfoot at all. We would definitely stay again.

Cozy and immaculate cottage
If you are a clean freak (as we are) looking for all the amenities for a comfortable and peaceful stay, this is the place! My husband and I were blown away by how spotless everything was. The good quality towels and sheets smelled fresh. The cupboards and pantry had everything you could possibly need for preparing meals, coffee or roasting marshmallows outside on the fire pit. Not to mention all the treats! Bottle of wine, chocolate and Haagen-Daz for you enjoyment ! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Kim, sweet lady! Extremely accommodating and helpful with local information. I would give her 10 stars if I could. Definitely the place to stay in Bishop!

Nice Cottage Close to Town
Just as advertised, this is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage. It is a detached accessory unit and not a “house”, but provided plenty of privacy, even with the host onsite. Parking is as described, but you do need to maneuver a few gates to get to the front porch. The fenced yard with the firepit looks nice for spending time outside. The gazebo is now enclosed and is used as storage. The kitchen has everything one would need to cook meals. The Keurig in the pictures has been replaced with a coffee maker (which we prefer) with plenty of coffee in the pantry. The pantry and refrigerator both were stocked with supplies, but some of it was dated and should probably be tossed. The futon in the living room was good enough to watch some TV, but as with many futons, it’s not super comfortable as either a bed or a couch. The TV seems to have cable, but we plugged in a laptop by HDMI for streaming. The WiFi worked great. The bed was comfortable. Check in and check out are easy, and the directions for finding the place are good. The area had a country feel that we really liked. There were small ponds and streams running throughout, and the sound of the water flowing was an added surprise. Downtown Bishop was minutes away. It can be hard to find a nice, small, place like this with privacy and it was perfect for us as a couple. The host has prepared the place very well, probably one of the best we’ve seen. We really enjoyed our stay, would stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Bishop Stay
Fantastic stay! The property is exactly as described and the location was great. Cooked a couple of nights and all of the necessities were available. Very comfortable and quiet. Close to loads of hiking in the Sierras and a quick drive to town. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
