"We enjoyed all that Moosehead Lake had to offer. We loved the cabin and location. We wished there was more of a welcome packet with info about area, directions to the lake and the uniqueness of the cabin. Having said that we thorough enjoyed our stay."

"In an age of "Live Laugh Love" vacation rentals -- every property a generic flip, done up in neutral tones and mass-manufactured message art -- it was so refreshing to enter the Cabin Skowhegan, where everything seemed like a real live person had put it there. The photos of local sites, sometimes captioned. The worn-in but sturdy and inviting furniture, arranged for comfort. The quirky mug collection, clearly someone's pride and joy, hanging around the dining area. Supplies and provisions...

"We stayed here with some friends for a fun ski weekend. The place is super cozy and comfortable, and it's close to the mountain as well as a couple restaurants and the town of kingfield. Very clean, well-stovked kitchen with plenty of cookware. Would highly recommend."

"Look no further! This place has everything you need and then some. The location is absolutely perfect. It is off the beaten path and so serene, but still close enough to activities and food places to make it well worth a bit of extra driving. There is a Japanese soaker tub which was very cool and a steamer shower which is like a combination of a sauna and shower. Such a treat!! If you're into stargazing, you're in luck. The sky puts on a show nightly. We were lucky enough to see the ATLAS...

"Amazing views. I arrived after dark and the cabin was clean and well stocked. When I walked out in the morning the view was breathtaking. Although there are three places on this site, it was quiet and peaceful. Would recommend staying. Loved the pet friendly option as well. "

"The view was amazing. The cabin tho was nothing like expected. It's currently being renovated, but the walls are nothing but installation, the flooring isn't finished at all. There is electricity and tv, but no water and the bathroom is not finished but there is a port a potty outside that is completely disgusting. Overall the view is great but the place definitely needs a lot. "

"This home was a great spot to reconnect with our young adult kiddos and extended family. There were plenty of comfortable sleeping spaces, home was spacious and clean. Kitchen supplied with all necessary items for cooking. The area itself does not have good cell service, take a photo of the door code and directions ahead of your trip. The home is on the shuttle route to the mountain, which was helpful on occasion- with that said it’s a solid 15 mins drive each way. We would stay here again. "

"We loved the location! Close to town, right on the lake! & big yard for the dogs! The deck was a bit sketchy we brought our boat. The camp was very rustic, close to ourdoorsy living as you can get! Comfy bedstamenities! "

"This duplex cabin was a great home base for our weekend ride- even though there was an event happening in our yard the host made it work. We were gone all day riding and they were packed up by the time we got back. Kitchens are stocked- if it wasn’t in one, you’d find it in the other! Towels- both bath and beach- were plentiful! Shampoo conditioner and body soap on site. It’s small but the waterfront deck gives plenty of room. Would be good for multiple couples or a smaller amount of singles....

"Overall this property is beautiful during the day and has the potential for some amazing trips! Definitely would plan more than a 2 night stay to make it worth while, was shocked at how stocked the kitchen was with cooking utensils. Would definitely book here again, and leave tjis as a romantic getaway stay fpr two."

"Great stay in a look cabin located on the lake. Well equipped, very clean, convenient iocsted to lake. Town of Greenville and other great locations. Plan to stay there again next summer. "

"A group of us go snowmobiling every year and we decided to go Moosehead Lake this year. Home was exactly as pictured. Very comfortable and clean. Kitchen well stocked with everything you would need. Beds were super comfortable. Trail located right behind the house after short ride through woods. Parking was more than enough for trucks and trailers. Would definitely go back. Host was extremely easy to reach with any questions. Host even contacted us when my husband left his wedding band behind. "

"We had an amazing winter getaway at this beautiful lakefront home! The views were stunning, and the house was stunning, clean, and well-equipped for our stay. We spent our days ice fishing and enjoying the winter wonderland right outside. The owner was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect spot for a peaceful winter retreat – we’ll definitely be back!"
