Yee Haw PBR Special FREE Night=Summer Fun! 3br, 3ba, Spa, Bikes, Gourmet Kitchen

Our Big Sky Ski-Bike-Hike Hut has everything you need for the perfect Montana vacation (and fishing too, in the nearby, pristine, "blue ribbon" Gallatin River). The snow will soon be melting off the sled hill out back, and if you look carefully and quietly, you might see the neighborhood moose & her calf there. When the sage is in bloom in the meadow off the back deck, and the mountain bluebirds flutter about the fence posts, it truly is magical. Our reviews will confirm your choice, with comments like “wonderful,” “perfect,” “best VRBO ever,” “awesome,” “fantastic,” etc.

Our luxurious Big Sky "ski hut" is a fully-furnished 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 1844 sq. ft. townhome style chalet with everything your family needs for a Montana vacation, combining a far away feeling with close-to-everything convenience. Only a few minutes from the ski and bike lifts of Big Sky Resort, but ages away from the crowds of other resorts. Yellowstone National Park's west entrance is an hour south, and the charming city of Bozeman an hour north. Now, for a limited time only, we’ll bonus any 6 day rental with a FREE ADDITIONAL NIGHT, or if you can’t stay a full week and are a party of 4 adults or less, a 7% rebate!

Your Big Sky Ski-Bike-Hike Hut includes:

--Master br upstairs with medium-firm queen and en suite sit-down shower, curling iron & hair dryer, and huge walk-in closet with “private office” alcove (wireless printer included). A quiet and private retreat from downstairs activities.

--Guest br upstairs with firm queen mattress and private en suite bath/shower, large closet.

--Bonus room downstairs with bunk beds and firm queen futon, gym equipment, 32” t.v., dvd player.

--Spacious great room with the most comfortable leather reclining sofa and loveseat in Big Sky, high-speed Internet, 60" TV & Blu-Ray entertainment center, Apple and Roku internet tv (Netflix, Youtube, Prime, etc.).

--Cozy wood burning fireplace and free firewood.

--Spacious sunset deck with sagebrush meadow view--and the occasional elk, moose, coyote, sandhill crane, mountain bluebird, tree swallow, goldfinch, or tanager.

--Large private hot tub, outdoor dining for 4, deck chairs for sunsetting.

--Gourmet kitchen with new refrigerator and stove, blender, microwave, slow cooker, rice cooker, dutch oven, sharp cutlery, power mixer, airpopper, quality cookware, and lots of wine glasses.

--Large dining room table with seating for 6; breakfast bar has stools for 4.

--Luxurious bedding and towels for all, plus "backups".

--Large capacity washer and dryer,

--Heated garage with 2 free loaner bikes, sled, and snowshoes. You’ll love the heated garage on powder days, heading up the mountain in your clean and comfy car while the neighbors are still digging out from the snow!

--Many local guidebooks, trail maps, shuttle schedule, restaurant menus, even a pair of binoculars for wildlife or stargazing!

This location is perfect for a multi-purposed outdoorsy family--we rented in Big Sky for years, and chose Firelight Meadows for its year 'round convenience to everything that's special about the area. We're less than a mile from Town Center with its market, restaurants, and services, an easy walk, or quick bike ride away. In the winter, Big Sky's free shuttle service runs up the mountain to the ski area hourly, or it's an easy 10 minute drive.

Yellowstone Park's gateway is an hour south. Big Sky is the perfect basecamp for exploring the Park, much better than the carnival atmosphere of West Yellowstone or Gardiner, plus some of the best fishing in the West is right down the canyon on the Gallatin (or the little kids pond on Crail Creek in Meadow Village). Our restaurants have more variety than West's "trout dinner" tourist fare, as well. Summer is glorious here--don't miss the hike up Ousel Falls (just 1/4 mile away), definitely one of the best easy hikes in Montana, or the climb to Beehive Basin in the magnificent Spanish Peaks, only a few miles up the road. Big Sky Resort has abundant mountain bike trails, zip lines, and many other summer activities, even an excursion to the top of 11,177 ft. Lone Peak. Golf at the Arnold Palmer designed public course in the Meadow area not only has bunkers and water hazards, but a "Moose Hazard" as well. When fall arrives the hunting is fantastic, maybe too easy, judging from all the elk mounts on the neighbors' walls. See our Summer Events calendar below for more info.

Big Sky Resort skiing is truly "the biggest in America," with 5800 acres, 4100 vertical feet, and terrain for every skill level. Lift lines are non-existent. Overheard as I schussed up to Ramcharger last winter, "I'm taking a picture of this for my buddy skiing in Colorado, he's been in line for 30 minutes!" Children and beginners have two "shuffle up" carpet lifts and their own slow chair. Intermediates have perhaps the best l-o-o-o-n-n-g blues in the Western Hemisphere, with superb daily grooming. And Experts, let me tell you, you won't be able to ski all the EPIC steep terrain at Big Sky if you're only here a week. Oops, I almost forgot the TREES--there's glades for everybody, moderate and cleared for intermediates, steep and deep for the rest of us, and a bunch of runs where you can ski expert left, intermediate right, and meet at the bottom for the lift ride back up. There really are options for everybody at Big Sky, including over 80 miles of groomed cross-country skiing at Lone Mountain Nordic Resort, linked to the trail in the valley, just a block away from us. 2025 Season Update: a new, heated/bubbled 8-seat lift is now on the Moonlight (North) side, as well as a spectacular upgrade to 75 seats for the Lone Peak tram, and a new gondola from base to Powder Bowl will be in action for the 2026 season.

Fantastic stay in Big Sky
We found the condo to be comfortable and it was great to have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for our family of 4. Everything in the kitchen was labeled and there were detailed instructions for the TV remotes, the hot tub, and the fireplace. Communication with the owner was excellent, including calling once we checked in to answer any questions we might have. We appreciated having the garage for ease of unloading our ski gear at the end of each day. Would gladly stay here again!

Absolutely Amazing
Our stay was perfect! The house, about a mile from Big Sky's town center and about a 10-15 minute drive from Mountain Village (Big Sky base.) Dave is a fantastic host and literally has thought of everything you could want/need for a winter/ski vacation. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Well appointed home in Big Sky
Beautiful townhome in Big Sky. Views of local trails. Detailed instructions on how to use everything in home, including wood burning fireplace and hot tub. Host was very communicative, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Kitchen was the best stocked rental I’ve ever stayed in. It had all the tools that I have at home, large selection of spices and the small things you always need like foil and ziplock baggies. I’d recommend staying here.

Better than expected!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home, which was more lovely than the pictures show. The rooms are large, the furniture very comfortable, and the home had everything we needed in neatly labeled drawers and cabinets. The hot tub was the icing in the cake, with nice and relaxing views. Communication with the owner was easy and informative. We’ll definitely consider again for a future stay!!

Incredible House, Value, Amenities, Neighborhood - Gorgeous in every way.
We have stayed in many, many VRBO rentals over the years, and this is by far the most impressive. The property owner clearly takes being thoughtful about the needs of his guests to a new level. The extra supplies in the house were incredible, and it saved us so much money when we got there - everything from ziploc bags in every size, bear spray, toiletries, plenty of toilet paper (even for a week's stay!), a fully stocked cabinet and pantry (we had everything we needed to make cookies except for chocolate chips!), a trunk of warm weather gear, a cooler, an office that included a wifi printer, binoculars, and more. We felt so thankful to the owner all week as he clearly anticipated our needs and had planned to meet them. The house itself is fantastic - cozy yet roomy and the most beautiful view in the area. We loved the neighborhood we were in and the ease of getting up to the resort (15 minutes), hiking trails everywhere nearby, and Yellowstone (1 hour - and a gorgeous drive.) I did not want to leave. I could have stayed for another month and been happy. What an amazing area and house. Oh - and we even saw the Neighborhood Moose and her baby on the last night there, which was the absolute icing on the cake.

Picture Perfect Big Sky Winter Vacation
Our family has stayed in different VRBOs at Big Sky this same week for decades. We just LOVED Dave's home! From the super advance booking I requested to helping us navigate being "stuck" in MT for two extra days due to flight cancellations going home, we have nothing but glorious things to say about our host and his home. Check in was very easy and an added bonus was the home was decorated for Christmas with exterior lights (front and back) and a tree lit and ready for us to enjoy. In addition to a very well stocked kitchen with every appliance and baking need you could think of, the pantry was stocked with baking needs and spices as well. There was plenty of firewood in garage and the HOT TUB out back was much appreciated everyday (except the -30 degree Artic plunge day that moved through Big Sky while we were there). We enjoyed many nights of board games and card games at the large dining room table and the 4 reclilners on the double couch were almost always being used by one of our family members when home. The Fireplace is just the best! perfectly aligned to enjoy a good movie and enjoy the magnificent view outside the walk out patio doors. The HOA was wonderful too. Quiet neighborhood, but still bustling with daily walkers, snow plows and even a MOOSE Momma and her Baby decided to grace us one morning and walked right past the hot tub and front yard! Apparently. this happens quite often! Ousel Falls are just a short 5 minute drive from their home and just one of the most amazing experiences you can imagine as you can walk all the way over them in the winter as they freeze over! The Gallatin River is still running under them, but, YES, you can walk OVER them in the winter - CRAZY!! The Town Center had everything we needed and the commute to the mountain was an easy, snow plowed, highly traveled route and for all the perks we gained by staying at Dave's place, we were fine driving up to ski each day. Good luck finding anything on the mountain, with a hot tub, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, heated garage and in such great condition for even twice what Dave's place comes too. We hope to get our 2023 christmas vaca booked soon back here again. I cant say enough wonderful things about this VRBO and the Host.

Perfect In Every Way!
We rented this beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom Big Sky, Montana condo for a weeklong September trip to attend a wedding with our adult family. Without any hesitation I can honestly say it was the best experience I have ever had renting from VRBO or any other similar service. It was a 12 on a scale of10! The owner, David, is amazing. There was great communication throughout the whole process from the initial renting, to preparing for the trip, and checking in with us once we arrived and during our stay. The condo is spectacular. Spacious, beautifully decorated, amazing hot tub looking out at the surrounding mountains, incredibly well stocked kitchen, immaculate and very clean in every way, great linens and towels, and a washer and dryer. The location of the condo is also perfect. Wonderful restaurants, shopping, grocery stores are all within a couple minute drive, and it is very convenient to the Bozeman airport, the spectacular ski area Big Sky Resort, and Yellowstone. As for dining out, we all loved the Riverhouse BBQ. Great Texas BBQ, outdoor music, reasonable prices, and a lot of fun! If you are planning a trip to the Big Sky, MT area, you cannot go wrong renting this condo in any season of the year. We will definitely return.

Awesome Property & Activities
The condo is located in a central location in Big Sky. Easy to get to grocery stores, Ousel trail, park, nearby ski lifts, etc. This condo is well supplied with silverware, dishes, pots & pans, and other household items. Be aware there is no outdoor grill and the 2d floor bedroom on the west side can get a bit warm in the evening. The owner is outstanding. He proactively communicates and is available to resolve issues. Highly recommend this property and the nearby activities.

World class
My husband, two year old daughter and I were traveling to Montana for the first time for my husband to run the Rut Run. Let me start by saying that we have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this was truly the most incredible one we have ever experienced. Every single room has a Wi-Fi sign with the password. Everything you could possibly need is labeled in any position that as you wonder where something is you look to the most natural spot and there is a label with your answer. For example as you fill of a glass of water in the sink you wonder about the quality of the tapwater and as you look left towards the fridge an article in the newspaper is cut out talking about the quality of the tapwater in big sky. Can you imagine a rental that not only has every condiment you could possibly choose but every spice you could ever need labeled? How many times have you stayed at a rental and had to swing by the grocery to stock up for the stay? Not here! The level of detail and thought put into your comfort is amazing. You couldn’t go through all the towels they provide. We cannot wait to come back to this stay next year

A friend stayed at this same house and raved about it, so we booked a trip! She was right--this house and location is ideal for a Montana/Yellowstone vacation! We stayed two weeks and enjoyed the nature and local foods. The house is one hour from West Yellowstone (park entrance) and one hour from Bozeman (airport, Walmart, etc). The drive is beautiful and part of the experience, so we never felt "far away" from anything. The home owner offered tips and suggestions via text that we really appreciated. The house and neighborhood is clean, quiet, and has everything you'll need.
