"This was our first stop on a 14 hour journey from Florida to Virginia to find our forever home. We had no idea where we were going, ended up two and a half hours through the Western Virginia mountains ... In the dark... I'm the rain! But then thru the mountain mist, shown the Beautiful bright lights of The Gateway Motel! I would have loved to stay longer. The owner was amazing, friendly and inviting. The rooms were perfect, cozy and warm. The property is gorgeous with the running rapid Creek next to it that you can hear to soothe you. They had fire pits and all sorts of outdoor relaxation. "

"We were visiting the area specifically for Elk Fest and this property was a perfect location for that. In today's age internet is a must and it worked perfectly for such a remote location. We would stay here again if we are back in the area."

The owner was very responsive throughout the process. Kinda pricey for only 2 people, but great if you are filling the space. "
