"This was a great place to stay while we were in town to visit Liberty University. The location was short walk to great restaurants & historic sites downtown. The direct access outside was super convenient for our pup as well. The communication was excellent. The parking spot is a block away uphill but we were able to load and unload right near door. Parking can be a littlw tricky if you have a bigger vehicle, but there is usually plenty of street parking of you can't fit into the space provided. Also watch your step when you walk into the Vrbo! There is a bit of a step down I wasn't totally prepared for, but I'm normally a clutz so maybe thats just me :) Overall, great spot, minus my twisted ankle."

"It was very nice, clean, private and well stocked.. our only complaint would be not having any covering’s over the windows making it somewhat eerie feeling. The bedrooms did have blinds ( thank goodness) .. there were a lot of other windows, the doors , living room, kitchen windows where anyone could look in.. other than that it was a great place!"

"Staying in this beautiful historic home was like staying with dear friends. It’s a lovely house in a great neighborhood. It was clean and inviting. Virgil was helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The beds were so comfortable that I slept as well as I do at home. We walked to great restaurants and all around the neighborhood and local park. We loved the front porch! We would definitely stay here again."

"We had a wonderful weekend getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We love downtown Lynchburg with its rich history, outdoor activities, and great restaurants. The Gilliam House sits perched overlooking downtown and the surrounding mountains. An easy walk to everything we wanted to do.
