We had a wonderful 3-night weekday stay.
Considerations (not really cons but may influence your booking decision):
1. The large house behind had workers sanding and repairing the exterior. Every morning at 7:45 the small rotary hand-sanders started up and whirred all day, with some hammering and worker discussion between. I expect the work is complete by the time you’re visiting but you may wish to inquire.
2. There were two dump trucks on a regular route past the house. We think they were going to and from the Moonridge business district which is under renovation (businesses are open but the main road is closed with easy detour and access). The two rumbling trucks also started around 7:45 and continued throughout the day.
3. The long driveway is very steep. We had to put the truck in 4-wheel drive to get to the top. We were told the city is not permitting parking in the newly graveled parking area on the street, so you must park in the driveway. One vehicle will be fine at the bottom of the driveway, but more would be on a steep incline.
That said, this beautiful Moonridge house had everything we needed. The whirring and rumbling became monotonous, and I enjoyed naps in the large hammock under beautiful skies. Our wildlife yard visitors included birds, chipmunks, rabbits, and an adorable vole. We used the hot tub every night and lit the firepit after a thunderstorm. The yard is perfect for stargazing. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.
