Big Bear Cabin
I will try to be detailed for this unit. I cannot speak for the other units only this unit that we stayed at. I will be as detailed as possible.
We arrived at 3pm which was the Check-in time. Parking space was plowed, however if you are the driver you are going to be walking in a snow bank because they do not remove any snow where you need to get out of your car under the parking structure which is covered.. This is icy and a makes it difficult getting to your car.
upon entry into the unit the patio looked like it was the storage unit for the remodel of the unit. There were blinds, large pots, folding tables, trash etc on the patio. However 15 minutes after we arrived i believe maintenance arrived and removed these items from the patio.
While I was unloading the car and bringing items into the unit the wife ran her fingers across the tables and other items everything was dusty. This is a studio cabin with just 2 beds, 1 end table and a small kitchenet. She started wiping down the whole unit before we unpacked anything to ensure it was clean. Once I finished bringing in the luggage removed my shoes and put my slippers on. beforef getting my slippers on i walked on the floors to the bathroom to look at it first. when returning to put my slippers on i looked at my socks and the bottoms were completely black. the floors were filthy. you could see glitter all over the bathroom and in between the grey rocks on the spa area. as if the area had a glitter bomb that went off and only a quick cleanup was done.
there was no coffee maker as listed, the wall heater didn't work, but they did have a "space heater" in the unit. once I moved the space heater there were wrappers under it from??
now there is a deadbolt to lock the door and this thing is very tricky. good luck if you have weak hands. this thing sticks and you have to wiggle it to unlock it. and when I say wiggle i mean break your fingers trying to unlock it.
the windows do have shades, well barely, they leave nice little gaps on each side so you can see into the unit no matter what. and if you want to run the fan / ac the window cover goes over it so it makes no sense at all. the window cover facing the street is basically a see through white thing so, privacy is a no go in this unit!
But if you are romantic and decide to turn down all the lights at night, just remember the picture of Jesus on the wall above the bed looking at you.
