The place is described as rustic and cozy, so it fits the description in that regard. But our unit lacked the most essential basic amenity—a fan. During a summer heatwave, this is absolutely essential and completely expected (we didn’t expect AC but a fan is bare minimum). When we arrived, we messaged the host about it, who said fans are typically included and one would be delivered right away. But it never came. We kept following up, and he kept on insisting that someone in his staff would bring it by within a given timeframe, but each time it never arrived. Finally, on the third day of our stay (after waking up sweating every night), he apologized, saying they were all out of fans.
The communication was really frustrating. If we hadn’t been strung along like this waiting for a fictional fan to be delivered, we would have just bought one at CVS. And if we had known initially, we would have brought our fan from home.
The other thing I found odd was that there is no lobby/reception. It seems like the kind of place that would have one, with a dozen or so units all in a little cluster. It seemed like our problems were due to a disconnect between the Vrbo host and the actual staff on site. I would really suggest that they consider having a staff member available who can be reached easily in person.
Location was great, tv worked, fridge worked. We enjoyed sitting in the shared space outside and some pple were grilling. I think this cabin would be great in winter.
