Snooky Bear's Den by Destination Big Bear : Fantastic Upper Moonridge Location with Spectacular Mountain Views!

Snooky Bear's Den, located in Upper Moonridge is the perfect family Big Bear Cabin. Named after the homeowners beloved childhood family pet Snooky the Bear. A unique experience! Approaching the home you will find ease of access with a half circle drive.

Once you enter the home, you will find a cozy family room area. It has two plush sofas and a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy your favorite show on the large smart flat screen TV. There is cable and internet/WiFi to stream your own devices.  Across is the dining room area with a massive farmhouse style table and ample seating for your entire group.

Step out onto the upper deck for outdoor entertainment. With a propane barbecue grill and a large table for seating. You can enjoy the quiet serenity this neighborhood has to offer, including amazing wooded views.

The kitchen offers an open feel with newer appliances including a fridge/freezer combo, gas range oven, microwave, dishwasher and a standard coffee maker is provided.  Enjoy breakfast on the vast breakfast bar with seating for five.

Head down the hall where you will find a 3/4 bath. To the right is the first bedroom with a twin over full bunk. The second bedroom has a queen bed. Head downstairs where you will find the third bedroom with a queen bed and a twin over twin bunk.

There is a full size restroom on the lower level with the open concrete game room area. Relax on the sofa an watch a movie on the flat screen TV. There is a DVD player and cable provided. You can also cozy up in front of the gas log fireplace or play a game on the game table. Perfect for puzzles or a friendly game of poker. There is a Foosball table and outdoor access. Also located off the game room is the laundry closet, with a full size washer and dryer. Available for tenant use.

Fun weekend with friends
Booked about a month in advance for a quick trip up to the snow with friends. Four adults and five kids. This was the perfect spot with plenty of room for us all. Kids were able to sled right out the front door on the property. There was also a small swing set the kids enjoyed. There was a cute hiking trail close by too. Would stay here again.

Very nice place for our family getaway. We were a party of 8 but didn’t feel crowded at all. Check-in was a breeze too. Place had all the cooking utensils we needed and then some! Would recommend you book it!

The cabin was good. A lot of room. It was easy to tell that it has seen better times. The floor sloped from the living room to the kitchen. The wall paper in the bathroom was curing. That said, the fireplace was great. My wife loved the size of the kitchen and that it had everything she needed. It would have been helped from since we are not from the area, for instructions on how to work the gas fire place and the TV downstairs. One thing that caught us off was that we were unaware that we had to bring our won paper products. This is not the first time we have rented a cabin in Big Bear, but it the first time we were told that we needed to provide our own paper towel and toilet paper. We also had only one kitchen towel for the whole 5 days we were there. The deck was wonderful. Having breakfast in the morning, dinner at night. Needless to say pluses and minuses. Would we stay again? I would say yes,knowing what we were getting into.

Wonderful Time at Snooky Bear's Den
we had a wonderful time at Snooky Bear's Den. Everything was as depicted in the pictures. The Kitchen is clean and roomy. while the whole cabin was very well appointed. Everything you would need is there. The fireplace in the upper level is wood while the fireplace downstairs is gas logs. The heater works very well as it was down into the low 20's while we were there. We are already planning a summer trip. Thank you Snooky!

Family weekend
Snooky Bear’s Den was perfect for our family! Everyone had a wonderful time! The grandkids had fun on the swings, collecting pine cones, a short walk to trail. Short drive into town, hike to Castle Rock. The home was cozy, clean ,quiet, stocked with everything needed! Fireplaces , s’more making , we all enjoyed our long weekend! We hope to be back next year for another family weekend! Thank you!

Trip Canceled due to Covid 19
We were REALLY looking forward to this trip to Big Bear, unfortunately Covid 19 caused Big Bear to put a no host ban into effect. That was very sad to hear. Big Bear got a foot or more of snow this week too. What a shame for all the businesses up there to miss out on all that revenue. I gave a 5 star revue even though I didn't see or stay in the property. It's the least I could do.
