WHAT'S IN TOWN

Just 3 miles away, you’ll find the town of Bethel, Maine. Bethel was named one of the top ten Prettiest Mountain Towns in New England by Yankee magazine.

They say "The charming village of Bethel sits where the White Mountain National Forest’s Mahoosuc Range spills across New Hampshire into Maine. Small boutique shops, bakery, cafes, B&Bs and a gem museum dot Main Street. Head to the surrounding hills for groomed cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing".

Bethel features 2 grocery stores (Bethel Foodliner and Good Food Store), restaurants (Brian's, 22 Broad Street, Sunday River Brewing Company, Smokin Good BBQ, Roosters Roadhouse, Sudburry Inn, Suds Pub, Cho Sun, Butcher Burger, The Bethel Inn, Di Cocas for coffee and pastries and our fav food truck Le Mu Eats, ), a golf course and nature trails for walking and exploring, a bait and tackle shop (Sport Thorma), and a historic independent movie theater (the Gem Theater).

For winter fun, Mt. Abrams Ski Resort is 8 mins away and Sunday River is 12mins away.

GUESTS BEST SUITED FOR THIS PROPERTY

Responsible guests looking to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet of our property, relaxing in the beautifully designed home and enjoying local attractions like hiking, water holes, mountain biking, golf and winter sports. This includes small or large families and friends in groups of 12 or fewer.

The property is suitable for guests of all ages including babies and children, though we do require that the person booking the listing be at least 27 years old. If you are traveling with small children, we do have a pack & play, kids toys and lots of books. Although we love dogs, no pets are allowed. There’s a doggy boarding house two minutes away which costs $20/night.

Like most cabins in Maine, we don’t have central air but it’s cool in the evenings here, and we have ceiling fans and lots of windows.

NOTE: Road to the house is plowed and sanded however four wheel drive is wise in the winter time.

This is a single family home. Guests have access to the entire property.

We require guests to be over 27th years old and sign our short-term vacation lease agreement.

Although I will not be able to meet with you, I am available by phone, text, or email 24/7.

We recommend four wheel drive in the wintertime. There’s a lot of snow here!

My husband and I purchased this home in March 2018 as a weekend getaway for our family. We have a toddler and use the home from time to time when it’s not rented so there are some of our personal items there as well as kids toys which we welcome guests to use
Guests must be 27 years and older to book. Hot tub instructions will be sent before check-in; all protocols must be followed. If the hot tub gets contaminated from guests not following chemical treatments or from drinks, bodily fluids, etc., $200 will be billed to the guest to cover draining and refilling the hot tub. Please leave all shoes/boots and ski gear in the spacious mud room- the downstairs is carpeted beyond the mud room. Thank you for helping take good care of our beautiful home and hot tub! We hope you love your stay!

Perfect getaway
This is probably one of the best VRBOs i have stayed in. Everything was clean, there was plenty of house hold items to get us started, and the property was well kept. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. The location is perfect, it feels secluded and quite yet is close to restaurants and Sunday River Ski area. I would absolutely return to this property or any of the others this owner has.

Incredible stay
Can’t recommend this house enough. Went up for a ski trip with 5 couples and we had an incredible stay. Courtney is super helpful and everything was as advertised. The house is about 20 minutes from Sunday River and 8 minutes to the town of Bethel. Town shuts down at 9pm but there’s stuff to do if you want to get out of the house (we did dinner one night and went into town for the grocery store/ bagels etc). The house is great, very clean and spacious- the bunk room contains six bunk beds and then the three bedrooms upstairs all have queen beds. Plenty of space to hang out (we made dinner one night) and Courtney has plenty of games / hot tub / tv all works. Highly recommend this place!

Reunion with Old Friends
My college friends and I decided to have a reunion! After graduation, we moved to different parts of New England. All of us agreed that Bethel would be a great place to stay. The scenery, attractions, and history was a deciding factor. When I was looking for a house, Courtney’s home was a no brainer. There were plenty of beds and space for the 10 of us. Moments leading up to our stay, Courtney remained in contact and responded quickly! During our stay we loved the open concept of the kitchen and living room. The yard was awesome for lawn games while others enjoyed the hot tub. I would highly recommend staying at this home. It’s great for a couple families with kids or a group of adults—very flexible! It’s the kind of house that you end up treating like your own while visiting!

Beautiful and clean place great for skiing
Courtney was such an amazing and flexible host. The house was very clean and spacious. The hot tub was a great way to relax after skiing, and there’s even a boot warmer in the mud room for ski boots. Such nice perks! The 3 and a half bath is a huge plus when you have a large group. The kitchen is well stocked for any of your cooking needs, and the dishwasher makes clean up easy. Courtney was great at communicating during our stay and we would definitely recommend this house to other guests.
