Just the right amount of distance from anyone or anything! Clean, tidy, just what you need for a get away!
Billy is a top guy, happy to help with questions… can’t wait to go back!
We stayed in the Chipmunk cabin. It was perfect. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the Mountain View. We would love to come back someday.
This cabin is located right off the main road so it was easy access which was a plus for us. It is small but it felt spacious inside and was super cozy! Once you open the back door you'll see the beautiful view where you can see for miles. Great hot tub, comfy bed and super clean! Lots of little touches that make you feel right at home. The host was super helpful, and informative and made us feel safe with the potential weather that was going to be coming during the stay so that was very nice! Overall highly recommend you book your stay here.
We had an amazing time in the Chipmunk Cottage! Billy provided so many amenities along with a great ambiance with the cabin and then nature took the rest with the views off the porch! Definitely plan to go again when able!
We love staying in Billy’s cabins. He is a wonderful host and always easy to get in touch with if need be. Our 4th trip to Billy’s cabins and we will be back.
The view from the back porch is phenomenal, perfect little cozy cabin for two and Billy is always on standby and quick at responding if you have any questions.
It was awesome. Plenty of activities like ziplining, swincar, and swimming. Beaver Creek state park was really close by. Cabin was clean and private. Owners were really easy to contact and helpful when needed. Would stay here again and recommend for couples needing down time.
From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved it all! It snowed for us the first night so we were able to experience the hot tub in the snow! Billy was very helpful when we had questions & replied very quickly! The sunrise was my favorite part!❤️ we would definitely book here again!☺️
Far from all the turmoil of a busy world
There's a cabin on a mountain side. Cabin was clean, and inviting.
Peaceful, quiet, beautiful scenery! And the sunsets and sunrises are amazing. Everything you need is already there. Billy is awesome! he literally goes out of his way. Check out his other cabins also. Hillbilly and lovers lair are my favorite. We will be back! Hopefully for a longer stay.
A year before the eclipse I started looking for a cabin to rent somewhere near Broken Bow (we have stayed in the area twice before). Admittedly, Chipmunk Cottage wouldn't have been my first choice but with vacancies filling up fast I decided to give it a go. Boy am I ever glad I did. Billy is a terrific host. He was so helpful, answering all my questions before arrival, giving us great advice on places to eat and he checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a sweet man! He even had farm fresh eggs available and taught me about cleaning them (they were yummy). The cabin is small and cozy but has the basics you need in a home away from home. The bed was super comfortable, so we got some much-needed rest here. I wasn't expecting WiFi or cell service and packed for such, but WiFi was provided. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub nearly every day for the 8 days we stayed. Robes are provided and they were much appreciated. Previous reviews commented that the highway detracted from the feeling of isolation, but we appreciated the accessibility of not having to navigate dirt, gravel or mud roads to get to the cabin. It is north of Hochatown and we liked the location, in that it's not in the middle of the touristy area but close enough to enjoy it when we wanted. Billy has several cabins at this location and we would love to come back and try another of them sometime!
My boyfriend & I stayed in the Chipmunk Cottage 3 nights. It is a studio with adorable decor. The back deck has a nice hot tub. Nice robes are provided & I loved that the coffee maker is a Kuerig. We loved the firepit area that overlooks a wooden bluff. We zip lined 6 lines at Rugaru on my birthday. Afterwards we had dinner at the Blue Rooster. It was just ok. We met a local man near the cottage Dwayne. He is very nice. Communication with the property owner, Billy was good. He was helpful from the beginning, provided directions. Made sure we got into the cottage ok. He is prompt when you text him. Even tried to help me find the Chiefs football game on TV. The only downside of the cottage is that it is located next to a 2 lane road. It wasn't very busy on the weekend but picked up some Monday. It wasn't bad but dud detract from the quiet peacefulness a little. The only other negative is that there is no hiking availability around the cottage. There is a small clearing if you walk off the back deck & into the woods a little ways with another spectacular view. We wish we would have found it before our last day. It would be a great place to sit on a blanket & look at the stars. We had fun looking in gift shops & reading about the local legend of Bigfoot. It was a great trip. One thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is secluded & about 35 mins or so from Hochatown, the nearest place for gas. It was a nice trip. I'd recommend it. :)
Precious little cabin with a beautiful view. Was about a 25 minute drive from the Hochatown things but the view was worth the distance of being out of town! Billy was very attentive and had quick communication. Would definitely go back!
From Louisiana, stayed for hunting in the mountains, perfect area geographically for where I was hunting. Nice little cabin with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.
