On the water in the amenity-filled community of Salt Pond, this three-story, three-bedroom townhome is ready to make your vacation plans a reality with a fantastic water view. The pond-front deck, main bedroom, and family room, coupled with the gentle lapping sounds of the water, help you to enjoy your evening fully relaxed and ready for the next day. After your busy day, you can sit back and enjoy all the amenities this well-equipped home offers, including central air-conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen, a washer/dryer, four TVs, two DVD players, a gas grill, and WiFi.

For an additional fee, guests have access to all the amenities that Salt Pond offers, including swimming pools, tennis, and golf, and will be just a short distance to the beautiful Atlantic beaches.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Effective January 1, 2024, guest amenity passes will be provided at no additional charge. Fees still apply for golfing. The passes must be picked up and returned to the Vacasa local office and a fee of $50.00 for each lost/unreturned pass will be assessed.
Guests may reserve tee times for the on-site public golf course at the pro shop.
Delaware regulations require all guests to sign a lease agreement within ten days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking, and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Ant infestation ruined our trip!!
Our first of two nights here was good. The only thing we noticed the first night is that the master bathroom was locked and inaccessible. We had to use our credit card to get in. On the second day when we returned from the beach we were unpleasantly surprised with THOUSANDS of ants crawling throughout our luggage and bed on the third floor. We had no food or drinks upstairs whatsoever. We called VaCasa and they said they would install any traps. Excuse me, that is not a solution. We had no choice but to find a hotel last minute on a Saturday because we were not staying here another night. We had to pay double for one night in the hotel. We also had to wash all of our clothes in the hotel. 6 loads of laundry from 8pm-2am. This huge inconvenience ruined our dinner reservation and our evening planning. We have reached out to vacasa and VRBO multiple times to get this resolved and figure out a return. It has been 2 weeks and we have heard back from no one. This is completely unacceptable and we advise no one stay here until this situation is corrected.

Loved the Salt Pond neighborhood and walking/biking paths. Awoke to a beautiful sunrise on Salt Pond😊. I would rate the dwelling a 4 out of 5! Location is a 5!

Great location / poor communication
The home is located in an ideal place to meet any need and perfectly laid out for comfort and access. Lovely lake views and 5 minutes to the beaches. There was no communication with the property owners. The agency overseeing property is less than efficient. Vacasa aka Wyndham did not provided good service. At time of check in, there was no welcome greeting by staff behind the desk. They only asked my name then provided an envelope with two house keys. No information regarding the area was offered. Not even a request for ID. They could have been handing keys to anyone that walked in their doors! We found the home to have cleanliness issues. Dirty dishes in the cupboard, very stained linens, and bugs & tiny ants that bit. After a few days we finally located the source of the infestation. The little candy dishes on the side table in the living room had candies that attracted the ants. We thoroughly cleaned the mess and used ant spray found in the kitchen. During our cleaning process, we finally located the welcome book and visitor journal. They were found on the floor, behind a table in the corner of the dining room. There were only a few sheets remaining on the paper towel roller in the kitchen. The same held true for all three bathroom toilet paper rolls. No back up supplies were in the house. That required a quick trip to the local supermarket. We highly recommend G & E Hocker’s Supermarket. Renters be advised. The rate listed is not totally correct. We were charged a 'service fee' by Vacasa / aka Wyndham that resulted in a very high extra daily cost. We highly recommend connecting by phone to get all details before signing up for this listing. We do not blame the property owners. We hold ourselves and Wyndham responsible for the communication.

A beach wedding!
We rented the property to attend our niece's wedding at the Indian River Life Saving Station. The rental property was very clean and the perfect location. It was easy access to Bethany, The Inlet, James Farm, PuttPutt Golf, Ice Cream, great restaurants, etc.. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels and linens provided. We greatly enjoyed the dock access to the Salt Pond which allowed for many hours of crabbing and fishing with our 4 yo granddaughter. Nothing we could keep, but it was fun sharing the experience of watching her catch her first fish. My only suggestion would be to have more information available on obtaining passes for the pool. Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience and would love too stay at this property again.

Nice community, great views
Salt Pond is a very nice community and this unit has great views of the water. The amenities in the community are very nice, although we didn't make much use of the pool but did use the tennis courts quite a bit. The house is nice and feels spacious and open. Access to WIFI and the smart TVs (3 of the 4 TVs) was a big plus, especially with the kids. The kitchen could use some additional supplies - there were plenty of pots and pans but little in the way of serving bowls and platters. And basic utensils like salad tongs, forks, a large cutting board, etc., were either in very short supply or non-existent. Also, the downstairs bedroom was extremely dark - there was only one little lamp in there that would not even be enough to light a desk, let alone an entire room. We had to repurporse a lamp from the living room, which helped a bit. Also, the bulbs in the downstairs bathroom were burned out - we called the management company but they never returned our call so we just purchased light bulbs and changed them ourselves. Overall, a very nice, quiet community with access to biking/walking trails and an easy drive to the beach (Delaware State Park - South Inlet). Also, the fact that the unit provides sheets and towels is a nice convenience. One thing that I would like to see changed is the check-in and check-out times. Check-in was not until 4:00 and check-out was at 10:00 - in the 18 years we have been coming to Bethany, we always had a check-in time of 3:00 and a check-out time of 11:00.

The property was conveniently located. The kitchen and rooms were well stocked. There was an issue with accessing the pool but the clubhouse manager was helpful. The sunset and sunrises were beautiful and it was a quiet community

Amazing rental!
This rental is EXACTLY like the pictures! It is on a beautiful salt pond. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is comfortable. During COVID- it was just out of the way enough of to help us feel safe and yet close enough to do what we wanted to do. I highly recommend this townhouse!!
