Location is perfect!
We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely home during the Fourth of July week! Lots of fun and walking distance of everything Bethany has to offer.

There are Pros and Cons
The location of the property is the reason we have stayed here twice. Being able to walk (you do have to cross a busy road) to the beach and downtown is a definite plus. We also like the front porch and enclosed Gazebo. You do get what you pay for so this property is likely cheaper due to some unusual features. Both bathrooms are Jack-and-Jill style and the downstairs shower is extremely small. I don’t think I could have showered there. Everyone used the upstairs shower, which is remodeled and nice. Furnishings are dated. No dresser in the Master. Kitchen is remodeled. Some things to beware of: there is no grill, no garage or beach chairs/beach equipment, and both times I have stayed there is an unpleasant mildew smell upon arrival. It either dissipates are I get used to it! Never have gotten the downstairs TV to work, but I don’t go to the beach to watch TV so not a problem for us! In summary, don’t expect bells and whistles, probably not the best property upkeep but it was fine.

Needs some attention
I hate to give a less than stellar review, but there were some disappointments. Online listing states that master suite was on main floor, but it is on second floor and shares a bathroom with a bedroom with two twin beds. Disappointing, but can live with that. Some additional notes: no one was a particular fan of the beds, but the master bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was so old that you rolled right to the middle and extremely lumpy. All of the bedding needs to be washed, the pillows were very old and need to be replaced (minimally need pillow protectors). There needs to be a dresser in the master bedroom. The kitchen drawers need to be cleaned out and a lot of the dishes needed to be run through the dishwasher before we could use them. (There also needs to be more bowls.) Cleaners need to check under beds. Location was great.
