Located just 45 feet from the ski slope, Alpen Villa 5 is one of eight charming units in a trailside condo building, perfect for families or groups of friends. The condo features a spacious layout with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the main level, and the kitchen, dining area, living room, and an additional bathroom on the upper level.

The living room is a cozy retreat, with a sofa sleeper, a brick fireplace, and patio doors that open to an upper-level covered deck, complete with a gas grill—ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The shared lower-level deck offers a hot tub with scenic views of the ski slope, and it’s accessible from one of the bedrooms through patio doors. The hot tub is available from December 1 to April 1. The deck also includes a lockable ski locker and a supply of firewood for your convenience.

In addition to the shared hot tub, the basement level offers a private storage area, as well as a common laundry area with a washer and dryer. The unit also comes equipped with A/C and Wi-Fi throughout, and dogs are welcome to join in the fun!

Alpen Villa 5 provides convenient access to Lifts #2 and #3 along the Flintlock Trail, making it the perfect base for your skiing or snowboarding adventures. Cable TV and a landline phone are also included for your comfort and convenience.

Just what we needed
We were in the area to do some fall hiking. This place was a perfect location. They had everything my sister and I needed. It was a clean and comfortable place to come back to after a long day outside. We hope to do this again next year.

We stayed here for a family ski weekend. The location was perfect. The place was a bit dated, but we expected that. There were a few items that needed addressing, such as the dirty oven that set off the smoke detector when we used it and the hot tub was quite cloudy. Otherwise, everything was great.

Nice setup. Had a nice time, but a little more care could have been given. There was food and wrappers under the beds. Normally this would not be a concern, although, we have a small dog who should not have access to chocolate or pop bottle caps. The heat would not shut off. We reported this on Thanksgiving day and never did hear back from the property manager. VRBO responded in email there was no availability on those days (we were already staying there). It was 90 degrees by Friday morning. The hot tubs are advertised as available during Winter stays, not Summer. I should have asked. I assumed since it only mentioned the 2 seasons, Thanksgiving would be considered Winter. Nope.

Clean and comfy.
October 2020. Overall the property was clean and comfortable. Property decor is dated and could use some sprucing up. I would also add 2 unusual observations. The first: the condo was very “creaky”. You could hear every step taken by your housemate. The second: you could hear the humming of the boiler and or water heater, or other utilities, which could be distracting. Overall we enjoyed our stay with a 4 star rating.
