Mould on the ceiling in the shower. Shower pole broken. The blinds were broken and only One window opened. Paint chipped everywhere and looked completely different to the photos we had seen. "The hotel is quite basic but the location for me was excellent and there is plenty of convenient parking. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The piece de resistance however, is the food here. The food is really excellent and I enjoyed the two dinners I ate here very much. There is a superb selection of freshly cooked food and a bar with good drinks to accompany. "What a lovely, quiet, peaceful place to stay. We had two nights here and wish we had booked more. Bertrand was so helpful. You need a car to stay here, and sat nav to find it but that is the beauty of the place. There is a nice pool and a library / billiards room. Breakfast was fresh and locally sourced.
