"It was just like dropping into a friends place who left the key out. So comfortable and clean with everything you need (except for tissues). Location was great as you are 30 seconds from beach coffee shop, newsagent/grocer and seafood takeaway. Lux beds and bedding were great. Loved the art collection throughout the house. Looking forward to visiting again. "

"I had stayed at Callala Bay before so I was already aware of the beautiful area to stay at but my family hadn't. So they got more than a pleasant surprise at what they found when they opened the blinds on the sliding doors at the back of the house. It was a very relaxing space with plenty of room for people to have space from others. Games, books internet so mny pluses- we even saw dolphins swim by. Our furbaby loved the leash free beach & huge backyard to explore in. Can't wait to come back...

"Callala Cottage, peaceful perfect accommodation for a large family, close to beach, local coffee & pizza and tennis courts.Bedrooms were functional and clean, plenty of space for family. Large backyard for BBQ, alfresco dinning with sporting equipment to entertain the children. Outside shower a huge bonus for our beach swimmers. Totally loved Callala Cottage."

"Had a great time staying at this property with some friends. The area is peaceful and close to a few different beaches. We enjoyed the big yard and BBQ. Would recommend if you want something spacious, quiet, green and away from the crowds. Left feeling very relaxed and we enjoyed seeing the kangaroos."

"Loved how it was in walking distance from the beach puppy and i really enjoyed it. Definitely will be back. Also Loved the deep bath."

"Very relaxing stay in this amazing place. The owners went to the effort of ensuring firewood was readily available, the kitchen had all the little things (salt, pepper, oil etc) and even a bottle of wine on the counter. We loved the stay and will definitely be back."

"Overall, an okay little house. As other reviews state, both mattresses should be replaced. One is cheap and you feel the springs clearly, and the other is long in the tooth. Fridge had been replaced, but the old one bizarrely left on the deck next to the front door (!?). BBQ dirty on arrival. Didn't use it because of that. You get what you pay for with this one. Bird droppings all over the deck."

"From a humble exterior, we were more than pleasantly surprised by the beautiful layout within. Every thoughtful detail is catered for inside. Very modern well appointed kitchen, looks like 3 brand new lavish modern design bathrooms. The location is central to everything, yet quiet and private. Beach right across the road. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone and look forward to returning soon in the future."

"Kirbys cottage was so cosy and spotless. The location is perfect, quiet and relaxing. The cottage is across the road from the beach which was so lovely. Kim is so attentive and available. A brilliant find and great value. Excellent base and o explore the south coast, will definitely return. "

"Called oz realty. Lovely girls in the office brought towels to help with the leaking front door. Continual leaks meant we walked on sodden towels for three days. Or had to mop up puddles in the kitchen. Very LOUD plumbing and toilet had to be turned off at night because it was running constantly. This was a great little studio. Beautifully appointed and an amazing comfy bed. Shame that building/maintenance issues have been overlooked"

"The staff are amazing, the cabins are clean and quaint, and the animals make it all the better :) Cant wait to stay again :)"

"Peter was amazing. We had locked ourselves after hours and Peter very graciously returned to open up our room. The views over the bay were great! Latest TV with all the app channels. Dishwasher, microwave and cutlery all there too. Had a great time relaxing in the evening on the balcony. The next morning Peter suggested some of his favorite wineries in the region Silo and Coolangatta estate which were great!"
