We are only 15 minutes from La Rioja Alavesa wine area par excellence (Laguardia and El Ciego) 30mts from Vitoria, 1h, 30mts from Bilbao, San Sebastian and Pamplona

Gaztelubidea consists of 2 independent rural houses. Each of them with capacity for 6 people
Both can be joined by an interior access, with capacity from 8 people up to 12 places. Remaining as a single house, The dining room for everyone looking at each other
Each one of them, distributed in:

- 1 room with a double bed
- 1 room with two single beds
- 2 extra beds in the attic studio
- 1 full bathroom
- 1 toilet

In the summer season, Bernedo has a complex of municipal outdoor swimming pools 5 minutes away on foot. These municipal facilities are equipped with picnic areas, grills, bar ... and everything you need to spend a perfect day. Excellent and charming!
We were looking for a quiet place to stay where we could explore some of Spain's picturesque countryside. Gaztelubidea in the charming village of Bernedo provided an ideal accommodation. Our two children loved their twin bedroom with the little mezzanine area above, the beds were super comfortable, the bedlinen and towels were of great quality, the washing machine and tumble dryer both modern and working well, and the dishwasher (with dishwasher tablets) was an added bonus! The house was so well provisioned, it really was a home from home! There is a good parking area right outside the house, and Marga kindly offered space in a barn to store our bicycles. Marga proved to be the ideal landlady. She was completely flexible with our arrival time, helpful with recommendations on activities in the area, and provided the right amount of support. Our Spanish is not too good but we had lots of fun making great use of translation apps to communicate both ways! The village swimming pool 5 minutes away was a definite highlight for the children - such a great facility for a small village! In the few days were were there, we had a lovely time exploring the region, its villages and vineyards both on foot and on bicycle (there are some great flat trails for the children). A splendid area, a lovely accommodation and a wonderful hostess.

GENIAL
Casa muy acogedora, cocina completísima y si falta algo Margarita te lo proporciona, camas muy cómodas y pueblo muy tranquilo. Estuvimos 10 días que fueron pocos ya que hay infinidades de sitios que visitar y cosas que hacer. Justo al lado de la casa hay un camino donde tienes varios senderos. Parque natural de Izqui, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Hayedo de Otzarreta, Nacedero de urederra, via verde en Antoñana etc. Los niños se lo pasaron genial y nuestra perrita correteaba tranquila, en la calle pasan pocos coches. Y que decir de Margarita un encanto, una persona muy cercana y muy pendiente de que no falte nada, que estés cómodo. Muchas gracias por todo Margarita.

Excelente alojamiento
Limpieza y equipamiento de cocina, baño... excelentes. Hace tiempo que no encontrábamos una casa rural con tantos detalles como secador de pelo, tostadora, jabón/champú, productos de limpieza (hasta pastillas para el lavavajillas), información exhaustiva para hacer excursiones....Trato inmejorable de los propietarios. Muy buena ubicación para hacer senderismo. Chimenea moderna, limpia, leña de sobra, y calefacción sin restricciones, imposible pasar frío. Agua caliente inmediata y sin problema para ducharnos (4 personas). Llevamos perro, ningún problema. Por poner una pega, que no tiene que ver con la casa, el campanario del pueblo tiene altavoz directamente dirigido a la casa, por la noche altera el sueño para quienes no estamos acostumbrados (la verdad es que el volumen es bastante alto). Pero la calidad de los colchones, almohadas y ropa de cama han ayudado mucho.

Desconexión, no existe el estrés.
Somos de Barcelona y acabamos de venir de Bernedo, aunténtico pueblecito rural, con paisajes espectaculares, mucho por ver, no te lo acabas. Hemos desconetado 100%. Nuestra hija se lo pasó genial en la piscina, que está a 3 min. caminando. Fuimos con nuestro perro Teo y no tuvimos ningún problema. La casa muy acogedora, tiene todo lo indispensable. La carnicería del pueblo, la carne inmejorable. El trato con Marga, inmejorable, nos ofreció todo lo que pudimos necesitar, disponible al 100% Un encanto. Hicimos fotografía y rutas BTT, paseos al rio, caminatas por la montaña y en 10 días que estuvimos vimos, Vitoria, Burgos, Getxo, Bilbao y San Sebastián. Recomiendo la ruta de El Ciego, La Guardia y visitar los Dolmen y no os olvidéis visitar el sin fin de bodegas que hay. Solo decir que volvería a repetir sin dudarlo. Mil saludos a Marga.

Navidades en Bernedo.
Estuvimos casi toda la familia, 9 adultos y 2 niños, Marga (la propietaria) nos preparó las 2 casas para utilizarlas conjuntamente y la verdad que el disponer de 2 cocinas para preparar la cena de Nochebuena es todo un acierto. Para ser las fechas que eran, no pasamos ni pizca de frío, la casa está muy bien acondicionada. El pueblo está muy bien, monte y rutas para pasear, está cerca de todo: Vitoria, Logroño, Parque Natural de Izki, Laguardia ;-), ... además, tiene piscinas; por lo que en otras épocas del año tiene que ser la "bomba". En definitiva, hemos estado muy a gusto, gracias Marga por todo.

Estupenda casa
Pasamos un fin de semana 7 amigos y estuvimos muy cómodos. A la casa no le falta detalle y estaba impecable. La dueña, Margarita, muy atenta a la hora de proporcionar información sobre el entorno. Lástima que estuvo lloviendo casi todo el fin de semana. Lo que vimos del entorno muy interesante.

Muy recomendable
Tanto por entorno, trato de la dueña, casa, limpieza... está genial. El pueblo, pequeño y muy bonito se encuentra relativamente cerca de Logroño, Vitoria y pueblos tan fantásticos como Laguardia o Haro. En todos ellos se puede disfrutar de buen vino, buenos pinchos y rica comida. Vamos, que nos gustó mucho el sitio y se nos hizo corta la estancia. Llevamos dos mascotas, dos perros, y no hubo tampoco ningún problema

Un bonito fin de semana en familia
Hemos estado éste fin de semana con las niñas y la verdad es que ha sido muy agradable bien la casa,como el entorno,Marga,la dueña de la casa,muy atenta por cierto, nos recibió con la chimenea encendida y una degustación de queso y chorizo típico de la zona,qué decir de la casa,¡¡¡preciosa!!!! con mucho gusto y muy cómoda,Aconsejo 100% que vengaís a visitar bien la casa Gaztelubide y la zona,ambas,merecen la pena,y a quien esté dudando,ni lo piense,aquí podreís pasar unos días muy bonitos !!!

Muy bien
Hemos pasado un fin de semana estupendo. La casa está muy bien, es muy confortable. Además, seguimos los consejos de Marga, es la propietaria, que conoce bien la zona, no solo los pueblos de alrededor sino también paseos por el monte y sitios interesantes de la zona.

buena ubicación
La casa este bien equipada, no le falta de nada. La ubicación está muy bien, ya que puedes visitar la Rioja-Alavesa con sus pueblos y sus bodegas. Para los amantes de la naturaleza y el senderismo también está muy bien ya que hay rutas que salen del mismo pueblo. Buena opción para realizar diferentes planes.

Fin de semana excelente
La casa es muy bonita, esta bien equipada, es acogedora y esta muy limpia. A pesar del frío, mereció la pena realizar salidas al monte por la mañana ya que el entorno es precioso. Por la tarde visitamos La Rioja; donde después de ver la Población de Laguardia y El ciego nos fuimos a Logroño a comer pinchos a la calle Laurel. Aprovechamos muy bien el tiempo y esto fue posible por el buen asesoramiento de la propietaria Marga. Marga es una mujer muy atenta que nos aconsejo de todo lo que podíamos realizar, aunque no nos dio tiempo a visitar todo lo que nos dijo. Estuvo pendiente de nosotros, por si necesitábamos alguna cosa para nuestra comodidad. Nos fuimos muy satisfechos tanto de la casa como del entorno y aunque nos quedamos con ganas de visitar otros lugares del entorno y realizar otras excursiones. Por lo tanto volveremos y aconsejamos visitar el entorno y alojarse en Gaztelubidea.

Recomendable 100%
Lugar perfecto en cuanto a situacion para hacer excursiones por la zona (La Rioja, Euskadi, Pamplona....) En cuanto a la casa pues un 10, equipada, limpia y confortable. Y en cuanto a la propietaria pues otro 10, muy amable y conocedora del entorno. Hemos estado una semanita y muy bien de verdad, aunque nos han faltado los "pinchos" de Vitoria pero volveremos. Venga un abrazo y saludos Marga. Gracias por todo. Miquel y familia.
