The Motel One was a good spot to stay in Berlin. The room was good for one person or two close people. It was near a metro stop which was great for getting around the city. It wasn't really near a lot of other things though so depending on what you are there for, plan on adventuring out.

This motel is so crammed and is not suitable for leisure travelers like my wife and me. amenities were limited. Paper cups not glass were provided for mouth rising after brushing.

Across the road from Spittlemarkt U station . Cafe’s close by for a morning fix. Continental breakfast was a reasonable price . Hotel staff friendly, Room spotless & downstairs bar & lounge welcoming. It’s a small walk to Gendarmenmarkt for nice food .

Nice hotel, good location
Hotel is a typical Motel One. Rooms a little on the small side but spotlessly clean. Bar area and service excellent. Good location between Alexanderplatz and Checkpoint Charlie. The only issue I had was that my electricity cut out 3 times in 24 hours. Linked to my plugging in my iron apparently. But the issue was dealt with courteously at reception. Would stay again if I wanted to be near Alexanderplatz etc

Really good budget hotel
The hotel is in a great location close to the U2 U-bahn station & a good bus service to Alexander Platz. It doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s very clean, with great staff and a large comfy lounge. The room is pretty small but it’s good enough for a few days, the bed is large and comfortable. For me, one highlight was how quiet it was, we didn’t hear any doors banging or the lift. We didn’t try breakfast but used the two coffee shops across the road. The bar is good and reasonably priced. The only thing that wasn’t brilliant was the shower which too close to the wall and the temperature fluctuated. I would use this hotel brand again.

Great quiet stay.
Rooms are a little small, but that doesn’t matter as you are there to sleep and that’s my main point. Despite being on a busy main road, this hotel has the best noise cancelling windows I’ve ever been in. I’m susceptible to noise, but it’s completely silent when the windows are shut and you can make it totally dark too - brilliant! Bed is comfortable and isn’t just 2 singles together like many German hotels are. Only slight downside was the bar staff, a bit slow, forgot things and they really didn’t want to serve you regular tap water with our team’s fancy cocktails rather than sell you overpriced mineral water (it was totally fine despite them saying it wasn’t good). Underground Car park is tight, warning though if you leave even for a few mins you get charged each time rather than daily.
