Home with Everything
The house in Berigny was not the usual gite— it is a real home that Viviane and Yves Marie were kind enough to leave for us. It has everything and more that you might want. We highly recommend it.

Cottage at Berigny
We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very cosy and just as we imagined it. The ambience of the cottage reflected that it was our host's own home, rather than just a property they were renting out. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly.

A great location from which to visit the Normandy battlefields. In the countryside, very quiet and clean. Owners were very helpful at check in. Convenient bedroom and bath downstairs for elderly visitors.

French Countryside at its Best
If you are looking for a sterile hotel this is not the place. If you are looking for the feeling of being in the home of a lovely French couple, filled with art, books, (even though they were in French) and music, this is the place for you. Using this comfortable home as a base, you can see as much of Normandie as you like. There are markets with every type of produce, landmarks and restaurants a short drive away. Viviane and Yeves-Marie made as feel like friends not paying guests. We would go again!

Berigny Property.
Although a beautiful house in wonderful surroundings, the house inside of the house was dirty. We spent the first week of our holiday cleaning the kitchen. Eye level shelves ,covered in junk shop findings were encrusted with cooking fat to which dust had adhered. An open fire place, level with the work tops was hanging with dust, cobwebs and soot. In order to find what we needed, all the cupboards had to be turned out, organised and the contents washed before we could use them. The rest of the house was dusty and the deep window sills covered with dead flies. There was no internet connection and no attempt was made to restore it. The owner never made an appearance after seeing us on arrival. I think we need a holiday!

Really nice family house
Ideal for a family of 6. Quiet location. Had all amenities required apart from towels so need to ensure you take your own. Well equipped with games, music, tv’s. Crepes and cider in fridge on arrival excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Secluded home in Normandy countryside. France profonde of village life and rural culture
Visitors who are looking for a quiet getaway in the midst of the countryside, fabulous lanes and woods for walks will not be disappointed. Eddy the dog who was welcome in the cottage could never have enough of these walks. The friendly owners welcomed us to the cottage and showed us around. Their conversation was in French, but there was a folder in English to fall back on. In the sitting room there was the most wonderful open fire and the owners supplied huge amounts of logs to feed it with. The electric heating kept the other rooms warm and the hot water never ran out. St Lo was 15 minutes by car and had a variety of supermarkets. Bayeux of tapestry fame was 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. The cottage was filled with the owners collections of cars, baskets, books and pictures, which made it look like a home and not just a rented cottage. This review is for a winter stay and we would love to come back and see it in summer.

TRANQUILITY Base
In the country 22Kms from Bayeaux 11 Klms from St-Lo is a very welcoming and comfortable house in it's own grounds. Every thing you needs is there, our Austrailian cousins were impressed with the house and location. day trips to all the beaches approximatly one hour away, Sant malo 90 mins. le Mont st- Michale 1 hour, there are many more places to visit, House - Berigny makes all the visits easy to get to because of its Location. Many thank yous to the Family especially Rphael who met us and explained the House. C.W King Bolton Lancashire.

Gorgeous and remote Normandy house.
We had a splendid stay in this large house. We enjoyed breakfast and supper in the garden whilst soaking up the birdsong and watching the local cattle. The house is comfortable and has everything that you need, and it is very spacious. We enjoyed Bayeux, Aronmache and a fabulous local chateux.

A lovely place in the country.
Great lovely home in the country. Very quiet with lots of space. Wonderful fireplace and great selection of music. Short drive to Bayeux. Wonderful hosts. Everything we needed was here. Felt like we were in a friend’s home.

leuk verblijf ondanks het slechte weer
Het huis voldeed volledig aan onze verwachtingen. Het huis is goed geoutilleerd met een goed werkende wifi. De keuken heeft diverse instrumenten om goed te koken . Weinig van de tuin kunnen genieten vanwege het slechte weer. Goede stek om diverse plekken te bekijken zoals Bayeux, Caen, de stranden en Mont St Michel. Heerlijk rustige plek. Wel dagelijks de open haard gebruikt en dat geeft altijd een prettige sfeer. Huis met sfeer.

A perfect, cozy Christmas
Our family of 4 had a wonderful week stay over Christmas in Berigny. The large house was comfortable and well suited with all we needed. The location is quiet, rural and ideal for seeing the D-day sights, Bayeux, Mont St Michel, etc. We toured by day and spent cozy evenings by the fire. Viviane and Yves-Marie were wonderful hosts! This is a fabulous rental that I would recommend to all.

Ruim huis met veel rust
We zijn hier met ons gezin geweest. (Kinderen 11 & 8 jaar) We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Er was genoeg ruimte in huis en ook buitenshuis voor 4 personen. De gastvrouw was heel aardig.

Een heerlijk rustige plek met grote tuin.
Hartelijk welkom door de eigenaren. Het huis is gedateerd en museumachtig ( voor "liefhebbers" geen probleem). Er is verder alles wat je maar nodig hebt (en zelfs 2 open haarden voor als het wat koud is). Vele bezienswaardigheden zijn binnen 30-60 min. bereikbaar.

Idyllisches Haus in ruhiger Lage
Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und obwohl wir kein französisch sprechen, gab sich Viviane alle Mühe um uns das Haus zu erklären. Alles war sauber und hat funktioniert. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, aber trotzdem gut angebunden. So konnten wir ungestört mit unseren Hunden laufen, aber auch das Meer und die Plätze im Inland schell erreichen. Wer allerdings, so wie ich, einen Hund hat, der gerne jagt, sollte Bedenken, dass der umliegendene Zaun teilweise sehr niedrig ist. Als Hundebesitzer sollte man allerdings auch seinen Hund kennen. Wir können Viviane und ihr Haus jedem nur empfehlen der Ruhe und Erholung sucht.

een oase van rust...
We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het huis is knus en van alle gemakken voorzien. Tijdens de koele avonden was het fijn de haard aan te kunnen steken. Prima bedden, vooral die in de master bedroom... Buiten is het genieten van de stilte, de tsjilpende vogeltjes en af en toe het gezellige gebalk van de ezel van de buren. Zeer hartelijke ontvangst door de eigenaren!

Belle maison dans la Manche
Très beau séjour dans une maison bien équipée, fonctionnelle et " vraie" . Si vous êtes amateur de cheminée et soirée aux feux de bois, cet endroit est pour vous ( 2 cheminées dont une dans la cuisine). Voiture nécessaire car le premier commerce alimentaire est situé à 12 km . A proximité de Saint Lô avec un très beau marché le samedi. Je recommande cette maison pour un séjour au vert et au calme.
