Our Northwoods cottage is conveniently situated on the sandy banks of Lake Gogebic. It offers breathtaking lake views. Near snowmobile and ATV trails, waterfalls & ski hills, you won't be bored! Fantastic fishing and swimming right outside our door. Inside boasts a comfortable atmosphere with a fireplace in the living area, and a woodburning stove in the den. There is also a sauna for your use at the end of a long, adventure-filled, fun day!

What a wonderful time!
I loved it! Comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the large table for a game of cards and the sauna after a dip in the lake. If I would advise of any improvements, it would be for a new stove for those of us who like to cook. Also, the kitchen sink was draining slow, and there was no garbage disposal. Please be aware, you will need to haul your garbage out yourself. I would however, stay here again! The view and swimming was wonderful!

Great, conveniently located property
We had a great time during our trip to Bergland. This cabin was clean, conveniently located to the trail system and local restaurants. Would highly recommended it.

Great place to stay!
My brothers family and mine, total of 9 stayed here for a week and totally enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and great for the kids to swim. Home was cozy and had everything we needed. Great location with only short drives to Bond Falls, Agate Falls, Porcupine Mountains, Adventure Mines and the Superior Beaches. Very relaxing getaway, thank you!

Worth the drive...
We stayed at this property for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is HUGE! There were 4 adults and two kids in our group and we had more than enough room. The sauna and washer/dryer were a huge bonus! The boys were able to fish out of the canoe and we had an amazing trip! Would definitely be willing to take the 10-hour drive again to stay here!

Nice stay
We had a nice time at Sandy Beach property. Great location and we enjoyed the sauna, fishing, swimming, and set out hiking and exploring the area. Only minor complaint is that it is a little dated and was not the cleanest--but we are pretty easy going and it did not deter us from having fun. Plenty of space for 8 of us which was nice. Overall we had a great time in Bergland!

Cottage on the lake
Walking into this property felt like stepping back into childhood trips to our grandparents cottage. Large windows overlooking a wide expansive view of Lake Gogebic provided that on the water experience. We didn’t use the water as the reason for our trip to the area was to explore the waterfalls.

Wonderful week in the UP!
We had a wonderful stay on Lake Gogebic. This cottage/home was very clean and comfortable. 3 couples and we all had plenty of space. The views from the house were awesome and Jackie was very attentive to our needs, though we did not have many. We would love to stay again sometime!!!!! Relaxing Lakeside Escape
The property is spacious and right on the water. We had plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. The kitchen met our needs. My husband struggles with stairs so it would have been nice to know of the few stairs to get to the main part of the house. We used the fire pit, sauna and grill. We had a great stay.

Return family vacation visit
The location is great for a family with kids who like to play in the lake. We had so much fun a year ago that our kids asked to come back. There is so much to do and see outdoors in the area. We'd spend much of the day exploring trails and waterfalls and then return for evenings with kids playing in the lake. For our family, it was a great combination of adventure and R&R. Dawn has always been quick to respond and resolve any concerns. I have a feeling we'll be back. 🙂

Michigan vacation
All in all, everything was good. The house was plenty large for our needs. All necessities were provided. We enjoyed time with family while there. The lake is a good size- about waist deep for an adult at the shoreline of the house. We enjoyed playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies, boating, sitting by the lake, visiting nearby waterfalls, etc. We are grateful for our time there. Thank you Dawn. The Jack D family

Lake Gogebic Getaway
The location is perfect on the Lake with the sandy beach! The cottage was clean and spacious. Dawn was easy to work with and had quick responses to any questions. She was very good about working on and fixing any issues we had. A couple minor issues we had couldn’t be resolved during our stay but it didn’t ruin our vacation. Dawn will get in touch with the right person to get it resolved for the next guests. We really enjoyed the cottage and hope to stay again next year!

We absolutely enjoyed our time here.
The house had plenty of space for the nine of us with two queen beds, two twin beds and two sofa sleepers. The lake was amazing and beautiful. The early risers enjoyed each morning by drinking coffee, sitting by the campfire, looking over the lake, and reading. It served as a great home-base for our day trips to all of the wonderful hiking in the area. Favorites included the Porcupine Mountains and Bond Falls State Park. We Also enjoyed the canoe and rented paddle boards for fun on the lake. The housekeeper and owner were very attentive and responded quickly to questions or concerns. It was just what we needed!

Nice lakeside house that met all our vacation needs.
There was plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and the close proximity to great waterfalls and the Porkies. The house had amazing views of the lake. During our stay we had a couple storms come through which provided us the relaxing sound of waves crashing. The kids enjoyed swimming in the waves more than the calm water. The house had everything we needed for cooking and eating meals during our stay. We wish more windows had screens in the dining and livingroom. It was peaceful to feel the wind and hear the waves. We enjoyed the house and the area. We would rent again.

Fun stay on Lake Gogibic
The property is right on the lake, closer than it appears in the pictures. It has enough space to sit out in the back yard looking over the lake. The lake bottom is perfectly sandy for swimming and not too deep. There is an area to launch kayaks as well. The property is also bigger than it appears in the pictures. The bar area is between the house and garage, which creates a nice place to hang out inside away from the bedrooms after the kids went to bed. The property owner responded promptly to any questions. Bergland is a few minutes away for any supplies. It is only a 15 minute drive to Lake Superior.

Nice lakefront cottage with lots of room!
The property was easy to find and access. There is a lot of space inside - it's bigger than it appears from the outside. This worked well for us, two families coming with kids. The home was comfortable and everything was as described. The kids enjoyed the shallow sandy lakefront for hours! Easy access point for our kayaks and a dock for the pontoon. We also enjoyed the fire pit outside for s'mores and socializing by under the stars. The charcoal grill did the job for cooking up burgers and chicken. There is a great social room inside in the bar area, too. A couple of us used the sauna and they liked that as well. We had a great time. Thanks!

We were pleasantly surprised! Better than the pictures!
We visited in the summer and loved the view from the windows all along the lake side, the easy access to the water and the space both inside and out. It is a unique layout with the kitchen between the large living room/dining area and the bar/den space. Sauna was a bonus; 2 bathrooms,air conditioning, and plenty of storage made this a very comfortable place for our extended family group to stay. Great location- took some half day tourist trips to Boulder Junction, Porcupine Mts. and the beach along Lake Superior, Ontonagan, and even up to Houghton- Hancock - with plenty of lake time left in those days. Fishing was just OK, kayaking great. Made stops at Antonio's and the Hoop n Holler. The house and property was clean and very well kept. When we did have a questions we called the caretaker Jaquie who got back to us quickly. Great place to stay!
