Sandviken is a charming neighborhood in Bergen, Norway. Known for its colorful wooden houses, cobblestone streets, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and fjords, Sandviken offers a glimpse into Bergen's rich history and culture. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets and alleys, visit the historic Gamle Bergen Museum, or enjoy a meal at one of the many cozy cafes and restaurants in the area. With easy access to public transportation and just a short walk from the city center, Sandviken is the perfect destination for those looking to experience the authentic side of Bergen.
Getting Around:
Bus in the direction of the city center goes from the bus stop just outside. In the area there is "zone parking" for car - we recommend downloading the app "P in Bergen" for easy payment for street parking.
From the bus stop across the street, bus number 3, 4, 9 and 12 take you to the city center in 5 minutes.
Just outside the building, you will also find electric scooters and city bikes that can be rented through app.
