"Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm...

"An excellent outpost for us to drive the island on 6 individual day trips. Perfect room with a great sleeping mattress and all accoutrements needed plus a tea table on a covered porch. "I like this small hotel but it is very noisy. We stayed Thursday and Friday nights and both nights the neighboring heavy beat music went all night and into the early morning hours. I put my Bose sound canceling earbuds in which dampened the noise but could still hear the noise."

"Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. "

"Narrissa, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. The apartment was very clean, big and comfortable. We loved the pool, which we had to ourselves. There was also a jacuzzi, which was turned on for us whenever we wanted. There was a bakery about a 5 minute walk away and you could walk to town of Roseau and botanical gardens in 10-15 minutes. There was private, free parking on the property. Very good value for money."
