"We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive)....

We didn’t use the hot tub, but there was plenty of good space for adults, too. "Hubby and I were in town for a wedding with our 21 year old son. We were walking distance from some great local stops and just a short drive from anything we needed and plenty to do. Next trip we’d like to take advantage of hiking options we didn’t have time for this trip. Sooooo much better than a hotel, this place is loaded with character and comfort touches a plenty and provided everyone a nice balance of privacy and togetherness! Great stay!"

"Fantastic place to stay as home base for hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Quiet comfortable location, 20 minutes to Front Royal, 30 to Thornton Gap via Luray. Views from the porch were stunning. WiFi worked great for the half day of office work. The beds were comfy, the home luxurious after a day of winter hiking. Great owner who was very responsive. "
