Come & stay at my beautiful Moose Lakehouse in Woodford VT! Just recently painted and decorated inside, with new siding outside. Nice new walk-in shower. To add to the ambiance, a babbling brook flows on the side of the house...open the windows in the bonus room to hear it!

You will find a fully supplied, well-equipped kitchen and eating area, just bring your own food. Condiments such as ketchup, mayo, etc. are supplied.

Relax in the comfortable living room with a pellet stove that will keep you warm as you take in the magnificent view of the lake. Two new pull-out couches (one full and one twin) provide sleeping accommodation in this room.

Up the spiral staircase to the loft, you will find an amazingly comfortable queen-sized bed. Wake up and look out onto the lake and begin your day with beauty and peace!

There is a bonus side-room, with a comfortable large futon that sleeps two adults, plus a single bed, and a bunk bed. There is a slider door between the living room and bonus room.

A hairdryer is provided

The Lake House is stocked with plenty of board games for the whole family.
Internet WIFI!

There is a new composite beautiful deck in back. Dine on the new round patio table with four chairs, or soak in the sun overlooking the gorgeous lake. Take to the water with kayaks, a paddle boat, or paddle boards - life jackets provided. Take a fishing pole and catch the big one!
In winter months, enjoy ice skating and ice fishing on the lake, or bring your snowmobiles. The entrance to the VAST Trail is up Mountain Road through the power lines. Cross country skiing is available at Prospect Mountain, just a one-minute ride away.
The Mountain General store is a few minutes away on Route 9 for your ease of quick needed items
In the evening, cook out on the grill and then sit around the fire pit to make s'mores. On clear nights, there is so little pollution that you clearly see the Milky Way stretch from horizon to horizon. There are binoculars by the TV and prepare yourself to see more stars than you've ever seen in your life! Shooting stars are in abundance.
The frogs will sing you a tune every night

Take a break from the magic and drive down the road in either direction to neighboring towns. Bennington and Wilmington both have plenty of places to shop, eat, and enjoy some sightseeing and history.

The Lake House has had the honor of having two couples becoming engaged during their stay and has provided a romantic escape for six honeymooners! This past year a couple even married at the Lake House! Every9one that stays there is amazed how wonderful it is.

Great Getaway
Our family had a great time at Linda Jane’s property! Home was comfortable and clean, deck had a fantastic view of the water, we enjoyed cornhole, the kayaks and canoe, and the books and board games. We’ll definitely be back!

Great little lake house
Linda was a great host and Moose Lodge is a charming place in a stellar lakefront location. Better suited for couples or smaller families and you have to not mind ascending and descending a spiral staircase to go to the bathroom at night, but the kayaks made for easy and fun fishing, the fire pit was great, and everyone had fun. Just FYI, there's no dock and the bottom is pretty muddy, but picky kids can walk down the street 50 yards and swim at the community beach. All in all a great stay!

Excellent property!!! Loved this for my vacation.
I stayed with my family and dogs. The place was clean and decorated so cute. Very comfy. All the essentials are there. Walmart in Bennington delivers to this location if you forget something or if you want groceries delivered. It’s only 16 minutes away. We will be back! Great communication. Quiet area.

A lovely lakeside home
We spent two-three days in this lovely home right on the shore of Big Pond. Everything was clean and attractive, and the owner communicated clearly and kindly. Highly recommended!

Fantastic!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this lake front house. The property was exactly as pictured and more quiet than we imagined it would be. The kayaks and paddle boards were perfect for fishing and just relaxing on the lake. Would definitely come back!

Wonderful stay
The house has a beautiful view of the lake and is very clean. It is beautifully decorated, and has all the supplies that are needed for comfortable stay. The owner is very thoughtful and the house is nicely organized. We appreciated the Christmas decorations during our holiday stay, extra towels prepared for the dog and the dog treats. The house is nicely stocked with family games, and there is beautiful trail in walking distance: up the hill to vast trail, and path through the forest to Little Pond trail.

Beautiful stay
The Moose Cottage exceeded our expectations, and Linda Jane was a wonderful host. Very responsive and very kind. There was plenty to do at the cottage that you didn’t have to leave, but if you do you’re right in between Bennington and Wilmington, also close to Marlboro. The cottage itself was immaculate and very cozy. We loved hopping in the canoe at sunset - very beautiful ! We enjoyed all that it had to offer and cannot wait to return. 12/10 stay !

Linda Jane was a wonderful host! The property was as described. We were charged for linens and linens are not included, however, we were extremely happy with our stay and I’m sure vrbo will refund the linen charge.

Relaxing Short Vacation
The house is locate on the shore of the lack with great views of the lake from the windows and a porch facing the lake and the lawn. We had a very relaxing few days In the first part of the day we visitied beatiful little towns in the neighborhood (Bennington and Wilmington) as well as hiked in the nearby park. In the afternoon we went botaing and then used fire pit to roast marshmallows left for us by Linda Jane. It was a very pleasant short trip.

Weekend Getaway
I highly recommend staying at this property. Everything was as described. The house was immaculate and had everything one could need. Linda Jane was so helpful with recommendations. We ate all our meals on the beautiful deck over looking lake. We also enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks. Each night we sat out by the fire pit and listened to the peepers. It was such a peaceful and relaxing weekend. We will definitely be back.

Relax by the lake!
The host is very attentive. Linda provided constant updates prior to arrival. I was able to arrive hours before the originally listed check-in time. Everything was clean and sanitized. I felt safe during a COVID stay. All accommodations were as described plus more. There was a welcome basket, toys for my dog and fully equipped kitchen with tons of extras beyond condiments. Spent most of time in Adirondack chair by the lake or on the deck. I would definitely stay again.

Make sure to bring own fans, none provided and no ac. I ended up sleeping on old rickety sofa nearest ceiling fan in kitchen. Also bring your own flashlights and batteries. Lost power and none in home worked.

Great scenery w/ a bit of traffic noise
The scenery was great and the host was wonderful - responsive and accommodating. We were just disappointed in the noise from the road. Unfortunately it’s the main road cutting through the southern half of the green mountains. A bit of music played outside covered it up but not what we hoped for. Also be mindful for the steep stairs to the loft if you have small children or a dog. Otherwise the house was great with a truly fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed hiking nearby and sunning on the deck.

Family fun at the cottage
We enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful cottage on a very nice pond. We enjoyed kayaking, eating our meals on the deck overlooking the water, and enjoying a fire every night. It also was only a couple hours away from Fort Ticonderoga, so we enjoyed going there one day.

Great place for a getaway
My wife and I enjoyed a 2-night getaway and wished we had more time. We took the rowboat out into the lake and our water loving labrador retriever swam after us making it a memorable time. Then we just hung out on the deck, with the gas fire table and fully stocked house. Host was very nice.

Woodford Vermont Stay
The property was really nice, homey and included any amenity that you would need. Close to two other larger towns and beautiful Vermont attractions such as Equinox sky way. Nestled between Wilmington and Bennington there were attractions and shopping. Close to Woodford State Park where we able to bring our dogs which and enjoy a relaxing day on the lake.

Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful waterfront home despite a few days of cloudy, rainy weather. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything you'd need. We had a blast on the kayaks and fishing from the rowboat (although the big one got away). You are right in the middle of the Green Mountain National Forest with lots of trails going down to the beautiful, boulder-filled river, a fun water option. Great hiking available within an easy drive. We are definitely planning on returning!

Little oasis
Another wonderful stay at Linda Jane’s cottage. Nothing but good things to say about the cottage and Linda Jane. Ideal for those that want a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle. It has everything you need to stay in and enjoy but it’s also close enough to many stores and dining. Already planning our next stay !
