Dogs are allowed if they are as friendly as their owners!

Artist/hostess resides here with companion dogs cats!

Galeria de Benifallet is not only a conventional gallery but Catalonia's first home for Art Threrapy with cats and dogs,. Found throughout three floors of the townhouse. The aim is to create a haven for happy animals and to provide therapeutic art lessons within an exceptionally calm environment for young and old humans! Sit in a plaça go up into the mountains to walk with or without pets. There are so many beautiful and interesting scenes to photograph or paint.

There is an area to sit underneath the grapevine at the front of the house and the area can be used amidst community to eat and drink.

Benifallet has so much to offer . The river, views of the mountains and traditional townscape. It is an ideal place in which to chill-out. The town has many good restaurants and bars to fulfill all your requirements and to allow you to touch base with the friendly locals.

Now, this is why, I got to thinking; In a time of crisis, when folks could be feeling ´down' we must get innovative and inspire people to look for ways of creating an environment that can promote well-being and a sense of achievement.

Since I've been out here I have found myself exposed to the basic inventions of a village that went through a major crisis - The Civil War. This has found me working with reclaimed materials that have not cost anything as I have wanted to become part of the community and create a traditional Catalan home.

Necessity is indeed the ´mother of invention´ but recycling, for me, is also the ´dawn of realization´. How long can we carry on throwing away stuff that can be put to use and help the planet?

Some of my best work as an artist has come about when I have ´found´ something at the tip and have wondered what it could have been and could become? Funny really, as, as a child ´bagpuss´ was always my favorite!
